That way you get more torque, and with the rpms you could make much more power, since horsepower is a derivative of torque x rpm (not quite that simple XD)

Compensating for the gearing, how much would that be in Kw (or just w i guess)? Also, could you test torque with a scale (and a clutch, so it's not torque at 0rpm)?

Wow that’s really cool!🤣 I’ve seen and and subscribed to a lot of channels that make these Lego engines (including this one) but I think this is probably the coolest thing I’ve seen from them, even though I don’t watch these types of videos that much. Maybe I’m thinking too granular here but what I’ve always wondered what the end goal here is, a lot of people make these Lego engines but what are you trying to accomplish, the fastest engine you can make, the most realistic functioning one, or something else? I think it’s cool I’m just wondering what people are trying to do with these machines, if it’s just for fun though that’s perfectly fine it’s pretty cool stuff, I might like to make one sometime and use it in a future build if I ever need to.

Just for fun. You can get a good feel for the shifting and it’s just really satisfying to play with. I guess the end goal would be to make a simplified version to help people understand manual transmissions:)
