To what' endever, brought our state' before this rising ascent. This mounting' incline. Mountainous' to lower eyes, under daunting task. Do the weight' of possibility? unattainable' in sights grand' be-falling. Burden' one's imagination. Lost' within confines of solid structure. A hard image, to look upon. As it denotes a reflection, of predestined account. Returned' from past circumstance. And missing' the present chance, to find' a future worth' remembering. And the road, provoking' to engage' it's embark. Where so, did' dreams crash' while waking. Finding reference between' the lines. Etched' in mortal flailing. To achieve' lucid grasp, on a principal longing. Here' have the auflage, of uniformity fell. Icarus's wings' melted, before Copernicus' eyes. Here' did heights cringe'! For name-sake, of Sophia's summit. Great' in-deeds, in-lie' such, in feats' of pernicious. To tread' mighty, on endevers' of ratification.

I had this on cassette as a kid! I loved every moment of this! I haven't heard it in years, the BBC 4 version is pretty good as well, but this is classic radio drama! better than a movie!

Fantastic, equal to anything from bbc radio 4 [if they still do good plays that is ,as everything else has gone down hill with them ] , , the play was fantastic the severe voices of the actors complementing the severe names of the characters , totally convincing actors ,anyone know when this was made?

This was done by Atlanta Radio Theater Company. I think part of the intro might have been cut out. This was originally posted on the ARTC podcast, which was taken down a few years ago. Their podcast was recordings of the live shows, rather than the studio recordings that they sell. That's why there's an echo, and you can hear the crowd. I managed to find an archived link to the MP3 files, which are still hosted on the web. It's just that the ARTC website has been redesigned and no longer has any link to the files. Maybe someday I'll find somewhere to upload them, but that could be a copyright mess.

I live in MA. 30min north of Boston. And have always lived in NewEngland. Why do these voice actors sound like folks from Maine. Sandford, Maine. Check out 'Down East Dickering' fron History channel. We here outside Boston dont sound like that....do we? Idk. But good play though. I grew up in Chelmsford, MA. Founded 1633. Has second oldest graveyard in New England next to Salem, MA

Colour, NOT color.
@krisisk1
2 жыл бұрын
It is spelled differently in different countries. The spelling in English between British, American, Australian (as noted in Guy Montgomerys spelling Bee) etc are different. Color is correct and the original title is also spelled color. Fun fact Australia is even worse on their spelling where certain words that end -er in British and American ends -re in Australian (yes I am actually fun at parties, I promise)
@beck769
2 жыл бұрын
@@krisisk1 I agree with you for the most part about different spellings , but, Lovecraft preferred to use older spellings of words. And Colour is the proper spelling for the whole story.
@krisisk1
2 жыл бұрын
@@beck769 Your right, I had to look it up to be certain but Lovecraft did spell it "wrong" (in US at that time) on purpose as you say bc he preferred older spelling. Interesting note is that it is registered officially with both spellings but you are right that it was originally ou.
