It’ll spin both if you put it in low and hold the brake at the right spot. Mines not lsd or welded and it’ll spin both. The first gen Dakotas Shelby variant had a 3.92 posi rear if you can find one. I think b body rears work too not entirely sure tho

If you back up and spin the tires then put it in drive, foot brake it to 2300 RPM and take off it will hook both tires.

I have a 2004 dakota quad cab. Its the 3.7 v6 and has the 5 speed manual. Just a cold air intake, hypertech tune and no muffler and I ran a 16.64 at 82.29mph in the 1/4. Not too shabby for what it weighs and the power to weight ratio. 4400 with me in it and about 200hp to the wheel. Not that bad.

I've got a 99 with a rebuilt engine. Good power but the original owner (before the guy who rebuilt it) blew a cylinder and burnt all the oil. Until I get the cat changed out (Im thinking magnaflow) and the muffler removed it will be a crutch

its basically a 318 shrunk, that means whatever makes a 318-360 scream will work on you v6 i waited along time to find a 1992 mag 6 most hp and nothing beats first design, slowly but surely it'll run like my 273 did, scream piss on low rpm strokes

Put it in low. To practice holding the brake at the right spot do it until you hear the fronts creaking or where it barely moves foward a little. If you don’t care at all about the trans then hold it at 3k (peak torque) in neutral and then put it in drive

Non Ethanol if possible, strip down intake tubing, throttle body spacer, clean tb, check plugs and gaps. My 3.9 has a butt load of torque, I have to take off easy so's not to spin. Here's a link to 3.9 upgrades. www.superdak.com/v6-magnum-engine-performance-basics/

My 99 loves to burn out. If I hit the gas a hair too hard on a dry day it'll squeal. It's not really the power of these engines, but the weight ratio to power. They're pretty light in the back end for the decent power you can get out of them
