They should have had Kristin Wiig as Jackie and had Joel McHale as JFK. For the Queen they might have tried RuPaul. (Just for the laughs).

I don't understand why he woulnd't be king consort. When women marry kings they are queen consort. He gave up his title of prince and all that is happening is that he is getting that title back.

The air in the grand hall crackled with a tension thicker than clotted royal cream. Queen Elizabeth, a bulldog in a silk dress, glared across the room at Jacqueline Kennedy, whose youthful, American beauty felt like a slap in the face of the aging monarch. "Mrs. Kennedy," Elizabeth barked, her voice clipped with disdain, "delighted you could grace us with your… presence." Jackie, a pro at navigating political minefields, plastered on a tight smile. "Your Majesty, the pleasure is entirely mine. Though, frankly, getting lost in this damn palace was no picnic." Elizabeth snorted, a sound suspiciously close to a snort-laugh. "Lost, were you? Perhaps they should've issued you a map and a leash." Jackie's eyes narrowed. "And you, Your Majesty, are not exactly renowned for your dazzling personality. Perhaps you should take a page out of Marilyn Monroe's playbook, learn how to keep a man happy." The air crackled with a dangerous energy. The courtiers, used to whispered gossip and passive-aggressive barbs, were witnessing a full-blown brawl, verbal and potentially physical. "Marilyn Monroe?" Elizabeth sputtered, her voice reaching a comical octave. "That skank wouldn't know a crown jewel from a rhinestone tiara. And at least I can keep my legs crossed while I sit!" Jackie uncrossed her legs with a deliberate flourish. "Apparently, not crossed enough to keep your husband's wandering eye in check, eh Lizzie?" Elizabeth lunged forward, a surprisingly spry movement for a woman of her age. "Don't you dare call me Lizzie, you Yankee tart!" Before a full-on royal brawl could ensue, Prince Philip, smelling popcorn and disaster in equal measure, materialized between them. "Enough of this," he boomed, his voice the only thing capable of silencing the queens. "We're supposed to be showing some bloody diplomacy, not acting like a bunch of fishwives in a market brawl!" Taking a deep breath, and a discreet swig from his hip flask, Philip continued, "Look, you two. Pipe down and pretend to enjoy some cucumber sandwiches. Nobody wants to see the future of the Commonwealth devolve into a catfight over a man with a wandering… appendage." Elizabeth and Jackie, both slightly winded and deeply embarrassed, exchanged grudging looks. Finally, Jackie spoke, a hint of a smirk playing on her lips. "Fine. Truce?" Elizabeth, momentarily forgetting her royal decorum, replied with a single, surprisingly unrefined, "Bugger off." The tension in the room eased, replaced by a tense amusement. Perhaps, just perhaps, a little vulgarity was what it took to break the ice between these two very different women. As for Prince Philip, he settled himself in between them, a silent sentinel against any further outbreaks.

I doubt very much that this happened in real life. JFK's dad was the Ambassador to England for several years and they lived over there when the family was young. Kennedy would have known exactly how to address the Queen and Philip.

Kennedy's father was the ambassador to Great Britain in the 30's, and his children lived in England for several years, hobnobbing with the aristocracy, so these gaffes could not have happened.

*Prince Philip should have been made a Prince of the UK sooner rather than later!* Perhaps upon the birth of Prince Charles (1948) He gave up his Greek HRH (Prince) and his family surname -- i.e. (House of) Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg- *Glücksburg* [1] to become a British citizen and to marry Elizabeth in 1947. On the morning of their wedding he was given the title "Duke of Edinburgh" (with subsidiary titles: Earl of Merioneth, and Baron Greenwich) by Elizabeth's father, George VI On the day of his wedding Philip (legally) was: "(his British naval rank =) "Commander Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh" ______________________________________________ 1.) Philip's mother, Alice, was Princess Alice of Battenberg, a great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria. The Angelized form of Battenburg is "Mountbatten"[2] When Philip gave up his Greek-Danish surname (Glücksburg) he adopted the Angelized surname of his mother's maiden name "Mountbatten" Since Princess Alice of Battenberg married a foreign royal (m. 1903) she became "styled" as " *Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark* ] But she is still known as Princess Alice of Battenberg (her maiden name) 2.) *FAMILY NAME CHAGES 1917* In 1917 during WW1, King George V. made a law (issued a decree) that all British nobles had to renounce any foreign surname, foreign title and (honorary) rank in any foreign military. At the time, 1British royal and 2 British noble families had German surnames: *The king's family was: "Saxe-Coburg and Gotha" ---- it became ----> "WINDSOR"* [Queen Victoria's husband was from the house of S-C-G, the children took their father's (i.e. Prince Albert's) surname. Victoria was born a Hanover (family of George iii) She was queen before her marriage to Albert. Victoria was the last Hanoverian British monarch.] *The queen-consort's family had the surname "Teck" --- it became ---> "CAMBRIDGE"* [Since Queen Mary had married before the name change. She is still called "Mary of Teck" Her two younger brothers took the surname of Cambridge, in 1917] *The Battenberg family took the surname "MOUNTBATTEN"* [Prince Philip's (Queen Elizabeth's husband) was born a Battenberg (b.1885). She married Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark in 1903. Therefore, she is still known as "Alice of Battenberg" since her marriage occurred before the . *Battenberg --> Mountbatten* name change (1917) Princess Alice of Battenberg was the daughter of Prince Louis of Battenberg. After the Battenberg---> Mountbatten name change he became known as *Louis Alexander Mountbatten, 1st Marquess of Milford Haven* [His wife was Princess Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine, (m. 1884) was a grand-daughter of Queen Victoria) They had 4 children.] His daughter *Alice* (m. 1903) was married before the 1917 name change (m. 1903 to Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark) His second daughter *Louise* married (m. 1923) Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden (a widower, who had children from a previous marriage) They had no children together. She was known as Louise Battenberg (before 1917) and as *Louise Mountbatten* afterwards (in most encyclopedias) probably because it avoids confusion with the bloodlines of the Swedish royal family. *His sons, George and Louis, took the Mountbatten surname:* George Mountbatten, 2nd Marquess of Milford Haven (1892--1938) Married and had issue Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma (1900-1979) Married and had issue The Louis Battenberg (--->Mountbatten) children were second cousins to George Vl (Queen Elizabeth's father)
