People are getting worse generally every year in high-school track. I looked at records from 92 until 2023 and guys are doing what our girls were doing back then.

Dedrick "Baby D" Kidd Set Our Highschool Triple Jump Record (Atlanta, TX) 50' 7" 3/4 In 1991. He Jumped 50 Feet With No Training Essentially. The Triple Jump Was Introduced In The UIL In '90. Dedrick Would Have Jumped 52-53 Ft Easily With Coaching 🤷🏿♂️.

Most of the world, including me, have no idea if 50'3" is good or bad. I've been doing metric since 1968. Won't you Americans please catch up with the rest of the world?

@UraniumDoDo

The 50 foot measurement is in reference to his first jump to his last landing, the first two jumps are easily mistaken for just a strange form long but this is a triple jump. if you noticed that then I guess maybe it's the angle? lol
