Eric Secrist, MD
skagitnorthwestortho.com/our-team/eric-s-secrist-md/Born and raised in Washington, Dr. Secrist spent a decade receiving his medical training on the east coast before returning home to begin his practice. This included training with the Rothman Institute and OrthoCarolina, two of the largest private practice orthopedic groups in the country. He also received fellowship training at Virginia Tech focusing on hip and knee replacements and revisions, with a particular focus on the anterior approach to the hip.
His philosophy focuses on treating each patient as an individual and empowering them to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle. This always starts with an attempt to control symptoms without surgery. Surgery becomes a consideration only when patients have lost the ability to do activities that matter to them. The best part of his job is when people come back to his clinic having resumed those activities after their surgery. If you do - be prepared for him to ask for photos!
