Im not the biggest fan of his tone, Its a bit vibrato-ish might be the word? But his phrasing and articulation I think is great.

To be fair, his tone isn’t very well displayed here, there are much better videos where his sound at the main focus of attention.

Depends what the playing demands are. For the F above double C probably the Marcinkiewicz Ingram but wouldn’t use it on a gig unless I have a very specific responsibility for the extreme upper register exclusively

I have a custom mouthpiece setup I use for all my general lead playing or amplified settings. It’s a custom top based on a GR 64Z** with a modified rim on a KT GG reverse taper backbore with a curry lead sound sleeve. That setup most likely wouldn’t work for you or anyone else as well as it does for me because we all have different anatomy. You need to find something that works for you. That being said, a mouthpiece isn’t the whole story. Getting your fundamentals in check and consistent is more important than finding a mouthpiece that fits you. There is no magic mouthpiece, but there are mouthpieces than can inhibit the correct application of proper technique. You need to experiment for yourself to find a technique and gear setup that works most efficiently for you

Nice setup. My only issue is that in a live setting, the Q-Tron seems to be a feedback machine. The C4 Synth looks kinda cool. I have a HoF like you do. Nice pedal. I kinda replaced most everything with a HX Stomp.......as that seems to do everything pretty well.....though that c4 though.......hmmm........

Great work Isaac. If I may add: I think in bar 26 instead of the "A" on 3+ its a Bb and on beat 4 it´s "A" and not "Ab". Anyways, great solo and nice transcription. Thanks for sharing. Do you know his solo on "Take the A Train"? That´s also a great one. Cheers
