Just bout a z750 with only 11.000kms it’s 2024 and still looks really decent for todays times.

Two suggestions. Wear nitrile gloves for the entire process. You want to minimize the direct skin contacts with oil and other hydrocarbons. Second they do provide a small thermal barrier should you accidentally get a pour of hot engine oil on your hands. Second suggestion either is once the tight drain plug is broken loose, use the right size socket by itself to loosen the drain plug. Press up on the socket as you turn it until you get the first "skip" of the threads that tells you the plug is free. Then rotate the socket with the plug inside 45 degrees away from the drain hole. You'll never get oil on you, and the drain plug will stay in the socket.

save yourself the hassle and pay a mechanic to do the plugs for you, plugs 2 and 3 are a pain in the tits to get to, the coolant system is in the way of access, I did mine today and it is possible to do but, Christ on a bike if I had known how shitty it was I would have paid somebody.

R&G engine covers....Why? they look stupid. New exhaust but no retune of the fuel air ratio ? you do realize the bike has LESS power in the low+mid range RPM now compared to stock exhaust..Looks like an ameatuer downgrade og the bike.
@TwoAndAHalfBikes
10 жыл бұрын
nice to get an expert on here... covers are to protect the bike which they did when Matt had an off. As for power you are actually wrong, removing the stock cat actually gives a bit more torque down low but yes a re-map would be good however my money tree isn't working right now...
@MissMan666
10 жыл бұрын
TwoAndAHalfBikes you get LESS low down power by removing the original exhaust cause of the exup valve, this valve gives added back pressure at low rpm giving more power..this is why u loose power with aftermarket exhaust. Without remap you get less power with aftermarket exhaust, especially with this Z750 model.
@muhammadhazarul

+MissMan666 so what you saying is that it should get an aftermarket ecu or just remap the stock ones
@MissMan666
8 жыл бұрын
Muhammad Hazarul a powercommander would be a good option if you dont want the bike to have decreased low and mid power after putting aftermarket exhaust on. Its not just the air/fuel ratio that takes a hit with after market exhaust, you also loose the exup valve in the original exhaust, that valve helps to give better low end power. Ofc the original can wighs about 6kg more, its a bit, but hardly anything the rider will notice.

...You won't have any problems at all, in fact, if you're riding technique is right it should make throwing this bike around a lot easier if we're factoring the weight into the equation. if you haven't already be sure to check out the other range of budget nakeds, kawasaki's ER6N, Honda's light,nimble Hornet and Triumph's Speed Triple/R.

Hi Milan Glad you found it useful! I'm 5"11.. and the bike fitted me very well, however with the footpegs being as low as they are (you know the peg scraping antics on these nakeds) it will offer you extra leg space if you like, and room for you to tuck your knees nicely under kawasaki's gorgeously designed tank leg cavity.

It was always an option but I never intended to own this bike for too long, I was eyeing up a Triumph daytona 2007. So weighing up cost I decided to deal with it, it would end up being it's, (and my humerus and femurs) ultimate and final downfall..

j0akim123 Hi! I did the review with Ed (above comment.) Having spent the best part of a year on the bike I would recommend it as it's a tidy middle weight package as the video explains, however, it would be an "AT YOUR OWN RISK" recommendation. The weight of the bike is and almost will be the biggest issue, in my opinion there's no need for it but with the attractive price tag, what can you expect? You need to able to stop in time in an accident, and with full brakes at 50mph this didn't...
@j0akim123

Thank you! So maybe a Street triple is a better choice then...
@TwoAndAHalfBikes

I think Matt would agree, the weight is the Z's Biggest let down its still a great bike with good handling and can really hustle. it is very noticeable on the brakes. I'm not saying its dangerous but its lack of braking ability is why its now in one thousand pieces. as it was unable to stop quick enough and slammed into my hornet.
@TwoAndAHalfBikes
10 жыл бұрын
no its not restricted, however you can change the top speed by changing sprocket size to alter gear ratios stock I have been told by Matt it does and "indicated" 136, stock so... on private roads of course ;)
@j0akim123

Thanks for the review! Regarding the weight, how big of an issue is it? I had a Speed triple 01, weight was about 200 dry, it was heavy, but it was a 955cc and i did not really noticed it.
@TwoAndAHalfBikes
10 жыл бұрын
short answer... no, its much heavier and the gearing is much lower. but its by no means a slow bike!
@marccawood

Battled with this for hours and the answer is: loosten the 10mm bolt holding the coolant cap and it gives you some wiggle room. The rest is wiggling cables and swearing. You need a good long extension on your socket and a swinging joint to get the angle.

@@Hortiklutura_Green Can't remember exactly but the 10mm was just a standard spanner/socket I think to give yourself more space. The extension and swing-joint was to remove the spark plug after the coolant cap was out of the way.
