The Quest for the Blue Singer. I love it - the sewing community has a Sasquatch to hunt down... When you say kerosine, do you mean lighter fluid? Sorry, I'm just not sure where to look to find some. Thanks. - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi

Uk 222k owner here, my machine was bought for me by my mother who had to pay in instalments. My machine and case have lived in many locations over the years. Bought a second hand Singer with zigzag facility in the 70s but kept my little 222k as the dealer offered a derisory trade in. It has just been dusted off from years of attic storage, and it still looks quite tidy, box included. As I couldn’t get the timing right, an engineer sorted it for me who thought it runs very sweetly. Singer pulled out of Clydeside due to poor industrial relations. I have however invested in a Janome in the mean time. Glad I kept the 222k just for sentimental reasons.
