What's the diameter of the threaded rod that's connected to the steering wheel and the plastic gear and how did you get the plastic gear attached? Was there a hole that's also threaded? I'm building something similar to yours😁 soo can you tell us some details?😅thankyou☺ great build btw

Bruh it's home built. The dude probably spent $50 bucks on wood, bolts, and some gears apposed to spending $200+ on a slightly more realistic feel. I personally just hate using the controller to race and this idea would allow smooth steering which is all most people who are stuck using controllers are looking for. So get outta here with your irrelevant point

Or you could do this. Which it doesnt require any calibrating and it is cheaper than the actual thing. You just need some gears and some wood. You could even take apart the controller and do it the more complicated way. It seems simple. Just take a 3d printed steering wheel or make your own. Take some gears and move around the controls and viola. You have created a steering wheel only for 50 bucks.

@@samgaron1342 The frame is is built with 55x45 mm wood with 8.5mm holes spaced 30mm apart. On the other side of the wood the spacing is the same but it´s offset by half, so 15mm. The wood that goes across is 600mm long and the longest ones are 1300mm long. And the rest doesn't really have any measurments. i used M6 M8 and M10 for fasteners .
@beefybread5769

@@kevinjosefsson id like you to do it the more complicated way. Is it possible for you to take the controller apart. Move around the sticks, buttons and triggers and do it that way? I dont think its that complicated. Because all you have to do is to extend a few wires and move around some controls. Unless of course. Its all stuck to one plastic board
