What a great idea can’t wait to try this out. I work with corian and we use a dremel to or glue to fix cracks. Thank you for the information!

I have just used this method recommended by Martin on an Earthstone worktop and it came out fantastic, customer was delighted and also gave me a case of beer (BONUS). If possible practice on an off cut first. Great video and a very helpful guy, he actually phoned me and talked me through it. 5 Stars from me.

So the Corian comes in batches and chances are slim to find a sheet of Corian from the same batch. That means that you have to make repairs from the chopping board material You got witk your countertop, as I understand it. So you have to cut out the V-strips yourself. Corian is 12 mm in thickness. If you cut out your V-strips with the same widt as the V-shaped router bit will leave measured on top of the surface, then it will just plump down to the same level as the rest of the countertop surface hence they have the same angle on the V-sides. If you cut it it a bit wider it will lift over the surface, but at the same time giving less contact area where the the V-sides of the V-groove and the V-strip meet each other, and also leaving a gap under that will need to be filled with glue. It would be nice to know at what depht you adjust the router to for an ideal joint.

Hi May I ask some questions , In video you use a V infill as this allows you not to remove the whole way through the bench surface with a seam plate underneath ? , when you looked at repair, was the crack always through or half way in material , hence is why you didn't use a total cutout seamed plug they seem to use ? As it is not required if just a surface halfway through joint in benchtop ?? Love the concept and video

What a beautiful piece of work, real craftsmanship here! I'm in the US, so would not be able to send you work. Very good demo, many thanks!! Please say your name slower, as I could not hear it properly. I wonder if you could be so kind as to let me know what type of caulking gun was used for applying the Corian surface adhesive. I've never seen a gun like that here in the US. Also, what type of adhesive did you use for the temporary clamp and wood guide glue downs? Obviously it is fast acting, yet comes off easily, most interesting! Thanks for the orbital sander demo too! I have some marble tables damaged from a house fire, and need to polish them off. I now know who to take these tables to.

corian is such a bad product, it costs the same as marble but it has serious durability issues, it stains very easily and gets scratched and heat damaged very easily. They are designed for people with more money than sense, so they'd be used for spoilt idiots who want a trendy "white kitchen", nature doesn't make pure white surfaces so they're supplied with this shit called corian.
