Hi, I absolutely enjoyed your video and the way you give your instructions!! Very easy to follow, very informative, and very clear! I love the flower arrangement it is so pretty!! I have made a few of these for cemeteries but I am trying to get better at it! Be question I do have is where did you purchase your silk greenery that you layered in first? If you don’t mind me asking.

@@DarleneMoore-fu9djoh ok, I have takes a bridal bouquet holder or a small foam cage and put styrofoam in it and attach with either floral wire around the center of the cross or zip ties and then add the flowers. Hello there! I am from Riverdale , Ga, about 15 miles south of Atlanta. I first started making crosses a couple of years ago, then started with wreaths and now Ive added some baskets. I started praying several years ago that God would give me creative ideas and annoint my hands, and slowly I began to have such a passion to make florals. I watch tutorials for hours and then give something a try, and that's how it all started. My niece ask me today if I could make cemetery arrangements and I told her I would certainly give it a try. Wow......God had to direct me to you, what a blessing to watch you create, I can just feel the passion you have in making this arrangement. I'm going to give this a try as soon as I can find all of the supplies, and I can't wait to see more of your videos.. Thank you so very much for sharing!

I absolutely love how you have instructed your video and adding the greenery first as well. Your very professional at your talent! I love how you stay on topic while working. I didn’t know you could use artificial flowers with a pick machine. I thought it was only for fresh flowers.
@JolenePowellAIFD
4 ай бұрын
Oh my, That is interesting. I have never heard of anyone using it to pick fresh flowers. It doesn’t allow the fresh stems to drink water. You can use on greenery such as lily grass or woody stems. The pick machine was designed for picking silks to go into styrofoam. Fresh flowers (if not in a vase) can be inserted directly into wet floral foam. Never try to insert fresh flowers into styrofoam. Some people use toothpicks to insert into the backs of certain flowers to create specialty sympathy designs that is then inserted into styrofoam. Thanks for watching.

Hello James from Dallas Texas you know I got into this business I'm a licensed hairdresser for over 40 years but I got into the floral business I think because I had a natural talent for one thing and I just love ribbon and fabrics and floral and creating and designing my grandmother started me off about 10:00 to learn how to make bows and I'm talking about all kinds of different bows the gift package what I call the gift package but that led me into fresh flowers and oh gosh doing ribbon back when it wasn't wired lighting trees when they weren't pre-lit I love fresh and I love silk I've done both and I thought pretty good not having any formal training just working at places and picking up and learning what other people are doing and that's been my best teach learning is others from others anyway I worked in funeral work which I absolutely loved doing large pieces that are taxi covers easels all of that but to me a flower is a flower whether it's real fake or what so I think it's all in the design I do have my particulars when it comes to fresh flowers I love anything with a stock scent I love stock I used to like tuberose but I don't use it so much anymore I like freesia anything that smells good I like I love open roses I don't really like closed roses but I've been very lucky through the years I sold a lot of things I designed a lot of things I'm not a fan of FTD or any of that kind of stuff I just don't like it is kind of like color by number I'm like come on and to me rules are made only to be broken so but this is my first time watching so I wanted to say hello and I love what you're doing the only thing I don't do is use a pick sheet machine very often very little I don't know why I just didn't we had them but I don't know I just didn't care for it and sometimes I like an old world look I like a turn on traditional look I don't I'm not crazy about Ikebana or modern structures too much I don't know they're kind of a little bit boring but I love a good old where you put your flowers up out down Luck Garden style I guess I love a garden English garden Country Garden European garden whatever look I love hand tied as well okay thank you❤

Hi from Atlanta Ga . I 1st started making wreaths when I retired from medicine. I was sell locally by word of mouth. I was asked to make a gravesite arrangement. She knew I hadn't made one before. She's been patient in each one. I believe I've gotten better but shape I've been missing on. So thank you so much for this video . I took a class from the lady that teaches thousands of people a month month and we have 2 to 3 live classes via Facebook a a week sometimes guest teachers between a wreath, a swag and arrangement. We've had a couple grave saddle but I've learned more from your videos and how to get my shape in this hour than in the two years that I've beentaken these classes. So I appreciate it greatly. I'm so glad I stumbled on your page. I see you haven't posted in 10 months. It'd be wonderful to see more from you to gain more knowledge from you. I hope you're doing wonderful up in the Shenandoah Valley. It's beautiful up there.

You do not have to have a pic machine. However, you would probably then want to use a glue pan and glue to make sure they stay in place. The pics help them to stay in place if you just stick the stems in without either glue or the pig, they tend to come out easy especially if it’s a windy day. I like the pic machine over the glue because then you don’t get glue strings everywhere.
