How could a PG-13 rated movie being considered the most violent movie ever made?

I had no idea it was filmed in Las Vegas! My grandparents lived in Ocate, NM, about 40 miles north of there. I spent many a summer in that area. Oner of the reasons I loved Longmire was because it was filmed near there.

Heya! The Auxiliary Sensor Scoops were modelled after a reference picture of the Studio Model as vit was in its damaged state. Thomas Sasser who originally created the Master decided to incorporate this feature on the NCC-1701-A. This is a non canonical feature and is only representative of the filming model in her damaged state! I have some of the preliminary photos as the Master was Continuously revised prior to the initial production run.

Hello Robert. Those to ports that it looks like you're point at are in fact the photon torpedo launchers. In VI, you can see the torpedoes coming out from those holes, just in front of the registry banner Delta insignias. No reference materials indicate there are any windows in that area. The upper square ports, on the ribbed neck area, could be doors for loading torpedoes/probes. But are also referenced as "additional" torpedo launchers. LOL, typical of Star Trek details.

Hi buddy! I must correct you a bit! The led strips in the neck, you didn’t wire them in “series” it’s in parallel buddy! In series, you take the positive lead wire and solder to positive connection and the negative connection goes to the positive of the second and so on until the last negative connection it’s wired with the negative power lead!
@theensignschair

I've always referred to linking led strips in this manner "in series “, it's still the same principle. Parallel would require each strip be wired separately to a positive and negative power wire, these are not.

Good update. Maybe I just didn't see it, but thought there are two LEDs/SMDs (one P & S) at the base of the neck that point upward to light the neck? Thought I remembered seeing that tech. from Boyd's build. Only mention it as you are trying to figure out a way to light that area by building something into the bottom of the saucer. Was not even aware of that lighting kit for the photons.....nice affect!
@theensignschair

There are lights at the base that offer some illumination of the neck, but not the spotlight, you can't get the right angle from there to replicate the spotlight effect on the neck.

Looking great! Love the way that forward lounge window looks. Even without the light on, you could see the wheel, which was cool. For those pieces around the deflector dish, I'm with you there. When I do that on my A, I'll be using the rounded ones, too. I have heard that the weird ones were used when the models original pieces went missing, but I have had a hard time finding the pictures of them on the model. Most close up shots of the A all seem to have the rounder ones anyway. Either way your model is looking great and I can't wait to see more.

Nice vid, very informative! I am building the refit and a little ahead of you since you took time off for the war rocket. IF I built this kit again, I wouldn't use the PE for windows. Too many complications come in when trying to fit in acrylic/plastic from water bottle to make the windows. The thin PE makes a fragile joint right at a place where you are tempted to grab the secondary hull to work on it. Always at risk of popping them in - ask me how I know. I redid both of those secondary hull windows due to joints popping. Yours look great from what I can see, but be careful. I smartened up and covered the windows with thin cardboard once I got them set. I used sheet acrylic for the windows...much clearer than the water bottle or similar plastic. Takes more time to get them to shape, but worth it. You will need some give in the sides of the secondary hull to make a good fit with the top (strong back). Fit the fantail only after you have dry fitted with the top in place. From what I can see the fantail can be positioned slightly lower or higher and if you do it incorrectly you will have a slight step where it meets the strong back. And yes, the plastic putty does a good job with the inevitable seems where the sides come together. Curious, what made you go with the shorter shuttle bay setup?
@theensignschair

Definitely a great point with the PE arboretum being a weak point. I used the shorter Shuttlebay because that's what the "A" has, the longer shuttlebay is in the Refit.

Will, you done an absolute treemendous job on the War Rocket, she looks awesome, especially on the stand. Micro Crystal Clear really went down well too, ive used that in the past for gluing clear parts in, but could never get the making of lenses/windows to work, but now ive seen how you made it work, I might have to try using it again. Have you thought about putting some crew figures in the front command area? Also, if you didnt know about this 3D printed model & someone asked you to print this for them, what would be your ballpark figure to charge for printing the parts for building the War Rocket. I have used this one guy in the past to print some parts off for me for my Aliens Nerf Pulse Rifle conversion build to make it look like it did in the movie, his prices were really cheap, but im not sure how much he would charge me to print this off? Good luck for Wonderfest.
@theensignschair
Ай бұрын
Thank you! The Micro Krystal Klear does work great, like I said the larger windows are pushing the limits of what you can fill with it, you have to get enough on the point to fill the opening, but not so much that it drips in side. I did think about putting figures in, but didn't have time if I wanted this done for Wonderfest. Maybe next time! Price is difficult to calculate, I reprinted so many parts. When I 3D print as a business for someone, I typically charge actual resin cost +20% (because resin used is really just an estimate) plus $1 per hour of print time. They make a model of this that's around $150, it probably wouldn't be much cheaper to have this printed to be honest. It's worth it if you have your own printer, but if not I'd recommend keeping and eye on Fantastic Plastic for a restock of this!
