It looks like a pain to change action and intonation, just like in a Floyd Rose.

Would it be okay to remove all the strings if I wanted to clean the neck before restringing? (I like to clean my guitars when I put new strings on) If not, what would be the best way to clean the fretboard on a Boden Original 8?
@tommyfalconey
3 жыл бұрын
The fretboard is finished maple so you wouldnt want to get excessive when cleaning. I wouldnt use anything oilbased

1:03 Bullshit, you can remove all strings at the same time without any problems at all. If this would harm the neck, any kind of extreme Floyd Rose action would do as well.
Just got my first strandberg, a Boden 8 and the tuning screws are crazy stiff. Any idea how to get them to move more smoothly without making them too loose?

@@opticroniustv1165 Thanks Jordan. I had a Mayones headless guitar about 18 months ago and I sold it. Tuning and intonating it was the biggest pain in the arse ever. Never again.

And this is one of the many reasons why I returned mine. It was so painfully upsetting to see how much maintenance you have to put into it. I don't wanna deal with this bullshit. maybe when a hair tail comes out I'll buy one again. Hopefully the stingy fucks give you a hard case then and stop making them in fucking Indonesia 😐

And we thought Floyd Rose bridges were bad
@jeroen0011
3 жыл бұрын
Floyd Rose bridges are good, once they are in tune they stay in tune for months even when u dive bomb that stuff and shit, i rather have alot more work to tune it for the first time than need to retune everytime i want to play tbh and i think this looks easier than a Floyd because when u tune a solid bridge the strings stay pretty much in tune from the 1st time, when i tune the other strings on my floyd i need to redo it for many times until it's perfect.

Gergely Both I think Ben was making a joke. The voiceover said use "your" business card. Meaning Bens joke was saying if you don't have your own business card, you can't setup the action. Business card is just a reference on size for 12th fret and 1st fret areas for adjusting action.
