Is there any procedures for missed approach or go around ? 😮
@aleksahak
Күн бұрын
No, they are committed to land after a certain point. That is why these 20-minute flights do not have a fixed timing and are moved at a slightest sign of weather misbehaving.

We went to this on the Friday, I've never seen it so busy and lacking major stalls. Was disappointed as this was the 4th year we had been and didn't live up to the hype this time. Hope you enjoyed it yourself

Apparently this was the biggest one ever by attendance. Friday, most people rush to roam the expo, less in the dedicated playing and activity areas, which may explain why it was super crowded, though at lunchtime and later in the afternoon one could still get some periods of dilution. In any case, great to see the interest rising in the public. I hope you will keep attending the event in the years to come, and I am sure the organisers will adapt to the evolving interest in the hobby.

@@aleksahak That makes a lot of sense, always love going, id be interested to see if they include another hall next year or something as it was impossible to move (As you said, probably due to the attendance) I may try it again next year but honestly it felt underwhelming, expensive (Almost £20 parking) that and dodging backpacks are giving me PTSD

Why are you blocking your visibility with that strange material? What if a plane was coming from the left and you cant see it because of your material?
@aleksahak
Ай бұрын
The pilots would know about a plane coming through the associated equipment and proximity warning system, so unless those are all down, it is not bad to cover the sun so that the pilot can see what is ahead. Also, I assume as per the protocol, the curtain was brought down closer to the landing.

Pilots who obstruct their view with curtains and other devices are IDIOTS! SEE AND AVOID PEOPLE!!! SEE AND AVOID!!! IT'S THE NUMBER 1 RULE OF BEING A PILOT!!!

I noticed how the pilot was constantly scanning his instruments, especially his turn and bank, artificial horizon and his airspeed. Uis eyes were constantly moving, 100% focused on his task. Great job and great video. I only wish the camera was out the middle of the windshield but yiu can only do what is available. Grwat job!!!❤
Si yo estuviera en un vuelo a Lukla y el piloto logra aterrizar ese aparato, lo beso.

Excellent skill! No doubt. Not so sure however about the curtain that seems to blocks the pilot's peripheral view. Isn't that against regulation or some such?
@aleksahak
3 ай бұрын
The curtain was blocking the sun that would have otherwise blinded the pilot. He did open it closer to the landing.
@iclerkrun6602

The sun is blinding only if you look into it head-on and I am not faulting the pilot. Is it not possible for the airline to provide a dark sun visor for the side window like the one for the front screen?@@aleksahak
