Only I Miss You is any good. But it's terrible. Only because the guitar is catchy. The rest he warbles over everything.

This album gave me hope he could write good lyrics again, maybe cause he was singing them. His voice isn't great. It's a shame the last roses songs and LG stuff has gone back to Peurile psychedelia. If he could just combine the lyrics from this, with guitars from Seahorses it would be untouchable. ALs, I've given up hope. just enjoy them for what they are.

Such an underrated album and unfairly reviewed at the time. Just listening to it for the first time in many years, so thanks for putting it on here as non of John's solo stuff is on Spotify.

hearing the latest disaster that is the collaboration with Liam Gallagher made me want to hear this record again and i can confirm it is absolutely TERRIBLE. lol. Squire was a 1 trick pony----1 good record and everything else he's ever made has been terrible.

If memory serves me right each song he wrote ..the album is about a calendar he had hung up…a calendar of an artist he digs..each month a painting about each months piece of art..pretty clever if you ask me..If you google a few song titles the original art work of the artist should pop up..

Hatton's losses are some of my favorite fights. It is a lesson in boxing. Hatton has nothing to be ashamed of. He will always be a Champion! Not many human beings can say that. I hope he is doing well. I would be honored to meet him.

Not a Hutton fan, however he was very good, a welterweight force. this fight shows where his flaws ,his boxing IQ and professionalism. When Canelo Alvarez lost to Mayweather, he adjusted , and was better in his next fight. Hatton had to drop 70 lbs. in the ten months before this fight. He Hired a house painter as a coach, because he was a good guy. This is not how to be a professional. That’s great for people who don’t know anything about boxing, but the “ odds” are so much against you in this situation. I think if had taken the time to recover, physically and mentally. Hired a good coach, had a tuneup fight, he was capable of something.

Not Hatton fan,yet l cannot take this from him. He acqquited himself creditably in this fight.He took brave risks until he got knocked out.Bravo great boxer you didn't disgrace yourself at all.

Problem with these fighters who try to make a comeback is they left at the top and still think they are up there when they come back. You need to build your way up again. If only Hatton had of done that rather than immediately fight someone in the top 5. Would of been a brilliant comeback

@andrewpetermilner

Not really. I play bass and guitar in several bands. I picked them up and learned them because of The Stone Roses, but his vocals are woeful. The music is great, as always, but his vocals are the reason that this and his first album were ignored,
