I can't decide if I want the stage 4 leveling kit or the 4" lift? I'm going to run a 295/65r20 2015 gmc 2500.

I started with the leveling kit and than upgraded to the lift and just kept the lift set low. Way smoother ride with the lift and much better on your CV angles and your front end.

+Max Cheramie I am set at maybe 4 and 1/2 or so and had to trim BUT my wheels are a zero offset . How much trimming you do or dont all depends on the wheel offset. A negative offset pushes the tires out and you will need to do the fender mods. Stock wheels I dont think will require trimming as they are a positive offset

Hey is there a way you could email some pictures to snow how much your tires stick out with the 20x9 BMF wheels? I'm getting some BMF wheels soon with 35x12.50" tires and I don't know if I should get 20x10 or 20x9. Thank you!

With the lift that's in your truck in this video.. would you say that the lift improved the ride over the factory ride... I have a 2011 Denali that is Bone stock but I'd like to improve the ride and level the front end.. But I'm really not looking to make the more ridged i wanna make it ride better then stock... You seem to be please with the ride quality and you mentioned that it rides like a half ton....... thanks for your time great videos and Beauty truck

Russell, It does ride better than when it was stock. I upgraded from the leveling kit to the 4-6" cognate kit. They are a little pricey kits but worth it

Do you tow? If yes how heavy? and do you notice any sag in the rear?
@indiansmok
9 жыл бұрын
C Nevs I upgraded to the 4-6" cognito lift w a 2" block in the back and helper bags so no issues with that. When I was leveled, I still had almost of inch of rake and with a heavy load (10,000lbs) it did sag

What are your fender heights (front and back) with this kit? How do you like your lift pump?
@indiansmok
10 жыл бұрын
MolsonM3-I raised the front up about 2 1/2"..stock I was at 40" ground to fender and after cognito leveling kit,shocks and adjust tbar, was at 42 1/2". the ride is all about not cranking tbars to much and leaving a gap btween upper control arm and droop stop. You need down travel..rear was 43 1/2. Still had some rake,but gmc had alot of rake stock

Hey man, did you install yourself? I installed lifts before on straight axle Fords and Rams, but never on an IFS truck. I'm about to pull the trigger on my 7-9 and I read the instructions. Doesn't seem too hard for anyone not afraid to turn a wrench... Just wondering how much of a bear it's going to be to tackle. One shop already quoted me $1000 to install. Thanks a lot of $$$ for more mods...and beer.

No, I had a shop do the lift, plus the norcal nick large fender mod. I did the small fender mod, but I didnt have the heart to cut up my new truck like that for the large mod. Shop that did mine charge around $900.Rides real good tho. I had a procomp lift before this one. Night and day ride man

did you get your air dog on?
@NSPirate12

Yea I did. I mounted it on the bracket in front of the fuel tank. I'm not to fond of the plumbing though. I've got Russell Stainless hoses on order along w/ some AN fittings to get rid of the quick connects going into the unit. Mine didn't seal up good.

Cole Gailor nothing but cons so far bud with the lift. A true lift will always ride better than a leveling kit

Gregory Abrams Very nice setup, I have the 2 1/2" rough country leveling kit and I am thinking about this setup, seems yours would fit perfectly.
@indiansmok
10 жыл бұрын
Chris Karrer I started with the rough country kit and all it was, was keys, than crank tbars. it road rough because my tbars were turned up to much to raise the front end. My contol arms were almost resting on droop stop. Cognito upper control arms change the angle on the arms for increased down travel. So the same height, equals more down travel and better ride.

Tire size? Looks great. Is the dpf still there? And what kind of mpg increase did you see with the air dog? Thanks again
@indiansmok

Alan Ott, They are 33s(285/60/20). DPF deleted, which increased MPG. Air Dog helped make sure not to drain the rails on higher HP tunes. Getting 20MPG highway.Upgrading soon to a 4" lift from NorcalTruck(Nick) a CognitoMotorsports kit of course!
