The Beast was the best in 2017! Strength is static. He won the deadlift, squat, and Viking Press all in convincing fashion. It's a shame he retired so young. WSM was not the same without him.

The only event that was changed was the sled drag. It was changed to the tire flip which is one of Eddies worst events. why are there so many crybabies about Eddies win. I never once heard Eddie complain when the events favored Thor or Brain. But the events in this contest were HEAVY. All Thor or Brian had to do was be stronger than Eddie, but they failed. And to top it off Thor is still bitching about the Viking Press which Eddie was the clear winner. The events change every year and Thor's sorry ass is the only crybaby out of all the strongman.

I feel bad for Big Z. He has so much spirit, power, and drive. But his age is catching up to him and he is collecting a few injuries here and there. In 2021, he is old enough to be the father of some of the youngest WSM competitors.

@josephsummers2427

@@TrojiteQ It's very common in Strongman, Wrestling, and Bodybuilding. Robert Oberst is 6'-5" (maybe just a bit over) and they say he's 6'-7" sometimes. Eddie Hall is a hair over 6'-2" but says he's 6'-3". Wrestlers often use their "billed height" as their height stat, which is their real height (barefoot to top of head) plus 2" for shoes and bluffing. Many wrestlers where it says they are 6'-10" are really 6'-8" in actual body height.
