Saw them 2005 Bonnaroo it was the best show of hundreds in my life. Saw them last month (2023) Was pretty much all of Deloused and some from Francis, and total different experiences. They played part of scab dates in 2005 and jammed. The current lineup of musicians is nowhere near as good as it was then. Still was a good show, they played my 2 favorite albums so it was cool.

No, sadly. It was never published due to budget and other stuff. I guess some other band members had not only other ideas with the band but other visions that clashed with Omar’s.

I never wanted to be nostalgic but in a lot of ways I miss this. I wish I was healthy enough to appreciate the goodness of the world I was in when I was in it, but all I can do is be happy I was there and able to listen to music like this in high scho

Someone please help me: A track clearly by The Mars Volta called "Metatron" acquired through a *friend* that was about 19 minutes long in total length but was clearly not the actual "Metatron" track, I have never been able to find it since my old Zune died. Oh, I think it started with this sweet piano medley.

This songs hits very unusual places and spaces inside of me and it does relaxes me, makes me feel somehow protected, more like safe and before it ends, I'm always asleep and hopefully dreaming, while this beautiful piece fades away.

if anyone ever went to coney island amusement park in cincinnati ohio and swam in the gigantic swimming pool. it just stretched out forever. and at four years old and such a height it reminded me so much of the album cover. even down to the annodized metals protruding from the glassy surface. those times like the gradual fade of memories to white light never get old, they just seem to get brighter as i stray away from that feeling. eventually itll consume me and ill dissolve back into it. what comes from the sea returns to the sea. this album created a pocket of magic that kept me warm that ill cherish for my whole life, the entire blink. i wonder if mr tapes can connect with anything as wonderful. even if light doesnt strike twice, id like to keep going on that journey with him. comeon mr tapes...keep making sound! i miss you

I don’t think it was ever finished and they didn’t have enough time to finish it. They were being pressed to release it by the record label and it was being delayed more and more due to things Cedric was going through. They probably picked out some of the songs they really wanted on the album. I know Cedric really wanted In Absentia on the album.

Those verses on Whisper To Your Flinch are insanely good. The chorus is a little lackluster and I can see why they didn’t include it. That being said, I’ll find the verses randomly getting stuck in my head.
