i remember how in most fox games from 2007-2008 they had players and coaches announce the lineup on fox. idk why they did away with that lol

For all of Manny's goofy plays, that throw in the bottom of the 1st inning was an absolute bullet and perfectly on target. It also saved the Sox from what could've been a disastrous inning.

It's amazing to think about it, but that third inning where Suppan goofed was the last challenge the Cardinals put up in the Series. Once that went by the boards, they had nothing.

2007 Josh Beckett may be the most dominant single season I've ever seen from a starting pitcher. He was throwing a 101 MPH 4 seam, a 98 MPH 2 seam, 92 MPH change up and a 12 - 6. All of which were filthy and most of which were thrown for quality strikes.

How can anyone, especially what im assuming is a RSOX fan, put Beckett's 2007 season as more dominating than Pedro's 1999 and 2000 seasons with the RSOX, or Clemens 1986 and 1990 seasons with the RSOX, or Schilling 2004 season with the RSOX. Now, if you never saw any of those five seasons between Pedro and Clemens and Schilling in person, and you only saw Beckett's 2007 season in person, then fine. I guess Beckett's 2007 season is the greatest season by a RSOX starting pitcher post-2004 With that said, I never remembered Beckett throwing 100+ at any point in his career (Marlins, RSOX). 97 MPH was the hardest I ever saw him throwing in the 2000s

Love it! Hard to imagine this was nearly 20 years ago & you're now pushing 40 & I'm now in my mid-50s. I was a kid during the 1978 debacle & in high school when I endured the 1986 collapse. 2004 melted those shortcomings, including 2003, all away into ancient history. Such wonderful memories ✌️
