The gcode sender on my computer is IOSender which has built in probing cycles, the control software on the machine is GRBLHAL, and I generally use fusion360 for CAM

Nice, I've got one of those on the way. Did you change the stylus? I want to do that, but can't find ruby ones with M2.5mm threads

@@Graham_Manufacturing Awesome, I'll order a few from there too. It just feels better to have ruby styluses Are you happy overall with the probe? I saw that it repeats farily well, which is good.

@@slaith77 I'm extremely happy with it, it's been very repeatable and accurate. If you change tips keep in mind you're going to have to adjust the centering of the probe body, there is 4 grub screws that adjust it's positioning

@@Graham_Manufacturing That's good that it's repeatable, I'll adjust it when it get here too. I'll have a dedicated holder for the probe since I have a pneumatic drawbar and can switch tools quickly. Plus I'll set it in the spindle at the same alignment all the time. Thanks for the help :-)

@@Graham_Manufacturing have you tested its repeatability at all, do you feel it's accurate?
@Graham_Manufacturing
Жыл бұрын
@@jasonlipavsky7371 in my experience it's accurate to within 0.01mm, but that's also the limit of my machine accuracy. I can probe a 123 block, move all the axis, probe again and its almost always dead on. Repeatability is very good for angle measurements too, usually only a variation of 0.001 degree or so
