For me, it's quite incredible that some areas seen in this footage actually made it into the final game (the courtyard with the sewer system underneath, the bridge in front of the waterfall and its surrounding areas). I guess they decided that these areas would be beneficial or fit the tone of the direction they persued during development and decided to keep them while other areas (e.g. the statue room) where either altered or replaced by other locations.

Hopefully Shadow of the Colossus gets the same treatment on it's 20th Anniversary as well. ICO was a wonderful game and once I realised it had some sort of connection with it's sucessors just made me appreciate more and more of TEAM ICO/GENDesign games. Looking foward for the coming year from GENDesign!

El mejor de juego del Team Ico (para mi siempre se llamaran asi) es el primero que juegas, ya sea el epico y solitario Shadow of the Colossus, el carismatico y silencioso Ico o el incomprendido The Last Guardian.

Shout out to Mr Masanobu Tanaka, a genius animator working in GenDesign and one of the most underappreciated persons in video game industry. His accomplishments in Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian are truly works of art that elevated these games to the level that has only been reached by few.

Is there any chance, that You can update The Last Guardian to support 60 fps on a PlayStation 5 since we know that console could easily handle it? Unfortunatly, it doesnt look like Sony is interested in doing this... It would also be great to give us an option to disable button prompts that pop up in the game. Both this things would make this excellent game even better.

interesting, this looks like some testing for Shadow of the colossus, but the engine is newer. So is this for the new project?

Yep, this was a presentation one of the devs gave at CEDEC to show how they accomplish complex and realistic animations for models/assets of great size and weight. If you've seen any of the images they've released about the new project they're working on, this could even be discreetly using very early assets from the new project.

Very interesting the proces to make a better walk! At first i didn't understand the clip of the water, but then seen the walk with little jumps i understood why they use it, it is really impresive. I wish all of the team a good day!
