Thanks for the inspiration! Just spent a week in France for the D-day 80th events, I have been learning French for 2 years now and was hoping to use some of what I have learnt so far! I struggled with understanding "real" spoken french by locals, was frustrated but will continue learning to one day conquer it! Great advice and really love your videos, fun and also helpful, thanks guys!

That’s only some French dialects that do numbers that way. Quebecois French does nonante-neuf as well as soixante septante huitante. I think some dialects in France do it this way as well. I think they’ll all know what you mean most likely

Thank you so much Alex and Tom for helping me learn how to pronounce French words properly, When my French teacher tells me how to say any word and I pronounce it correctly which makes her really happy. Because of you both I am able to do French Phonics.

“œuf” and “œil” are two of my favorite words in French because I get to spell it with the letter “œ”. Idk what it’s called but I love that it exists. I also like the word “sœur” lol

In french we call it « e dans l’o », which would translate by « e in the o » I guess
