Who is this guy supporting them during „Armagideon Time“ ? I know that they collaborated with Mikey Dread on Sandinista, esp. „One More Time“, but is it him?

My first ever gig, The Clash at Glasgow Apollo. What a night, few nights before the Apollo closed down, bouncers seen it as their last chance to hammer a few punters. Fights at the front of the crowd all night, it's on the Rude Boy film. At the end of the gig got outside and had water cannon turned on us, crazy night. Clash were great my favourite band to this day, the best punk band by a country mile.

The Clash might be the greatest rock band that has ever existed or ever will. Look at how they synergize genres while being completely connected in their virtuosity. The Beatles set the stage, but the Clash perfected it.

They put out 8 long players in 5 years, all high quality. I don't count the last one, CUT THE CRAP was an anomally. Even JOE's first solo album is better

I was too young to catch them alive, and they never played in my wrong country (Yugoslavia), but from the 80s on,we were lucky to see top bands in their prime, GANG OF FOUR,TALKING HEADS,SWANS,SONIC YOUTH and a ton of punk bands, i am from Croatia,Zagreb had great gigs, GRANT HART, VICTIMS FAMILY,RAMONES,IGGY POP, BOWIE, i saw them all in a socialist state. Ljubljana in Slovenia was even better, festivals, NICK CAVE, AMEBIX,DINOSAUR JR,RAPEMAN, i can go on and on,the train ride dured 6 (sometimes more) hours,it was always overcrowded, smelly, even violent. Young punx don'tt care too much,we were the target of the rednex (our version)

2:44 just sounds incredible, with Gallagher's keyboard in the background and Simonon strumming Joe's guitar.
