I love Ruth Rendell. This was new to me, and I am so glad I listened to it. Her writing is exquisite.

Jeeves sounds very much like Sir Alec Guinness.

Enthralling and well-written police mystery. The narrator has a fabulous voice and uses appropriate inflections. The storyline is gritty and intricate with highly developed characters and scenes. I recommend "Wolf to the slaughter".

Very enjoyable. When I first read this book, many years ago, I could not, from the description, picture what a circular knitting needle looked like. Since then, I have had occasion to use them frequently, having become an avid knitter, and I still could not describe them better myself. Ruth Rendell's characters always seem believable, warts and all. Great to listen to whilst knitting...

Robin Bailey makes anything he reads come alive. Listening is very much like watching a movie in the mind. 💜🥰

Who is Raelene Rivero? If you read any of these comments Raelene, what was the point of only uploading part of an audiobook?

What a flanneller, dear me. Waffle. I wish I found it amusing but all I get is 'chintzy, chintzy cheeriness'. Heavily facetious but not witty.

Not the best RR. Nigel Anthony is a pleasant listen but not a patch on Robin Bailey.
