Where's the sauce mate? Crying out for a bit of sauce. Very similar to Chicen Rice from Singapore but with that you can a sweet, thick Soya based sauce and chili sauce as well which completes it. If you added that, this would have been perfect.

I agree! I believe all the "chicken and rice" dishes originated from Hainanese Chicken and Rice, and the different sauces is what differs from themn Traditionally it's eaten with Nam Jim Tao Jiew (Soy Bean Dipping Sauce) : 3 tablespoons soy sauce 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice 2 tablespoons water 1 tablespoon sugar (adjust to taste) 2 cloves garlic, minced 1-2 Thai bird's eye chilies, finely chopped (adjust to spice preference) 1 tablespoon fermented soybean paste (Tao Jiew) 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro or coriander leaves But if you want to keep it simple Sriracha will do!
