I’m currently writing a report on ice reinforced with cellulose composite for my second year project. Thanks for this video :). I know its like 10 years old now loool.

I have to do the same thing and I was wondering if you could give me some insight into what you did ?

@@volgpaterson6554 made a long rectangular mould, then filled the mould with newspaper strips, then fillled it up with water and froze it. Removed the frozen mould and tested the sample in a DIY 3 point bend test using my phone camera to measure the deflection. Wasn't the best report but I remember I got over 70% marks

@@tompaul4015 slow cooling or quenching in water create absolutely, same effect The term is annealing which is the softening of the copper. Work hardening is a mechanical function that hardens the surface and somewhat less nearer the core.

@@tompaul4015 Also hardening in water or oil is meant for steel that which has carbon content. There is a structural change that occurs in steel. In copper heat and sudden cooling does not alter the structure.

In looking at this tile, I can't help but notice fragmentation, I was wondering the protective values of the fragmemented sections (broken) of tile.
