My pleasure ... Knowledge is to be shared to make this world a better place, through architecture. It's what I believe. I'm happy that it's reaching its goal. Domo Arigato Gozaimashita

Not only rare but a very important series. I add my thanks. The Bauhaus succeeds as a vital architectural experiment. Gropius was a great artist/designer. This comes across in spite of the building's several conceptual and technical flaws.

"In the training of a talented architect, the quest is what counts the most. I believe we need to lead our future architects from observation to discovery; from discovery to the invention and finally to urge them to use their intuition in giving artistic shape to our environment." -Walter Gropius

Nice building, interesting window frames. The windows look very clean, you can see right through them.

I like how the Nazis and the Soviets both thought the Bauhaus was a sort of degenerate art, but ultimately left it exactly as it was, admitting its significance ha.

The discordant music is the perfect sound for discordant architecture. However the presentation is so good that I begin to appreciate the design of what I at first considered a typical 20th century monstrosity.

Why do people complain about the music? its is clearly contemporary avantgarde compositions made by various artists within those times. I wonder how one may enjoy the paintings by Kandinsky, but disgust the works by Stefan Wolpe?

True .. Some people just need something to say. Watching an architecture documentary and in the end what they can argue is the taste of music .... Amazing humans, I think they are becoming dumb !!! I stopped replying to these individuals. But most impressive is making questions that are written and given in the documentary ... lol

It's ironic that someone so interested in industrial practicality made his own workshops hellish to work in.... very much like those American industrial factories he so admired. Nonetheless he did manage to create an interesting and revolutionary building that tried new things. Unfortunately this style got copied basically everywhere but without what architectural flair that the original architect provided.

These movies and the narrator is truly great. Some of the music tho, wtf? Why show something of great beauty just to ruin the experience with horrible sounds...
