Well JOYCE JOYCE thanks for your comment n i agree with you 100%, I bought this car 2years ago on summer and me n wife love it, the car it's an 05 chrysler 300 2.7L it had 85000mil on it and everything was good until winter time, my windshield was getting frozen on the inside! N I was not getting any hot air! So I checked by my heater core and I found the it was leaking so bad, so I took it to dealership and they told me that I was looking for $900 or $1000 on labor plus part so I was looking around $1300 so I went to another shop and they told me like $650 because it's a 9 to 10 hrs job!.so I just weitted for summer I just keep checking the coolant level check, but for my bad luck on summer my tahoe broke down too lol, so I live in Tennessee and we live out of the city so when I was on my way to pick up my tahoe part my temperature needle on the chrysler when up, so they told me on AutoZone that I was running with low coolant so I knew I that it was my fault, so I add coolant and went back home when all of the sudden my car lost power and I smell the funny smell of oil mixed with coolant! So I send it to the shop and they told me that I had a bad engine and to fix it was gonna be around $1700 to $2000 so I tooked back home and was really upset cus I only have 2 cars n couldn't afford that at that moment, so my in law let me borrow a car so I started doing a resurch and found about the water pump so i diced to fix it my self , but I checked for any coolant signs in the pistons I I found just a little bit so that when I new I also had to remove heads n take them to have pressure checked so I did and thanks god they where not cracked, so I replaced seals, heater core, thermostat, water pump, and timing chain and tensioners and fallow step by step and I finally got my car back running and I only expended $400 and it's running like new, I already have a 2nd water pump for when my car hit the 150 miles. But all this was my fault for not fixing it on time, but I always take good care of my cars it's just that I was on that bad luck when everything brake down lol. Thanks for your comment and I was trying to show people how to get in the 2.7L but like you know there is no time to explain everything.

What makes you go to head gaskets? have you checked water pump or ever replaced it (replaces every 70k along with timing chain...on all 2.7l). You need to have psi test/leak down cyl tests so your not wasting money on guessing. Sounds like ur not sure what overheating is from because u about replaced everything in cooling system but head gaskets and water pump.(again REPLACE water pump/cam timing chain every 70k or your 2.7 will not last.) Never drive car to get air out of system because it was serviced/opened.....these 2.7 can go 300-400k if you maintain them with proper oil, coolant and never Over Heat any engine, when the idiot light comes on its already to late and has causes damage.Replace your oil also , once overheated its no good.
