Another bird you'll be sure to see in this area is a hawk of some kind! My grandma showed me the ins and outs of hawk-watching, and now I can't drive anywhere without seeing one sitting in a tree or on a phone pole. I guess I can't speak to seeing them on the trail necessarily, but at least near roads, because they like the long open view that gives them.
