My father has Knees Osteoarthritis for a few years. We had reached to a stage where pain killers were not helpful. He watched these tips and started doing these exercises. It worked for him amazingly. He is back to normal functioning. He stopped doing exercising at one stage but had to start as developed pain again. Thank you very much for solving this issue for my Dad and for me as well as he was constantly looking for help and medical advice. God bless you.

Naveed Bangash, I know I’m a year late, but I was wondering how long your father did each exercise for, and how many reps he did. My dad works really long hours standing straight for way too long - even though he’s old, so I give messages to help relieve pain he gets from working like that every day. But you say these stretches really work, so I’d like to try them on him too!

I strained my knee on a Friday from squats in the gym. Did all these exercises 3 times a day for 30 reps and the stretches once a day. Got great relief after the third day...and a week later I was back in the gym. I hated doing them, but the motivation was either be back in the gym in a week, or be out of the gym for a month.

I’ve strained my knee doing too many squats and lunges over the months, 6 days a week mostly, as part of my HiiT and strength workouts. It’s so frustrating. As well as doing these knee exercises, did you do any like upper body or abs exercises too? I’m trying to but wondered if I should be completely avoiding all exercise/workouts as I might prolong recovery (apart from knee exercises) 🤔 😔

Thank you Dr Jo for this very useful video. I've had severe widespread arthritis for years and had a total knee replacement 5 years ago. I'm retired and have other health issues as well so though my knee is a great success I have little strength and poor balance no stamina... At 60 I thought that's just my lot but now I think with the help of your videos I could improve my physical and mental health gradually whilst accepting my limitations...I don't expect to be 16 again but just stronger and more able to cope day to day with life and be as independent as I can. God bless you from vera in Northern Ireland. PS love your t-shirt! My lovely Snoopy..large black and white Springer spaniel died on April 20th this year just two days before his eighth birthday in a seizure and I miss him dreadfully...a very loving and special friend.

Hello, I am 55.Will I be able to squat again? In general I have no illnesses, but I have a lot of injuries. From potholes on streets and sidewalks. For one calendar year 2019, I twice stretched an ankle tendon by stepping crookedly from a ped height. 6 months before recovery and "practiced" at work at home in the pandemic, ie. I continued with my immobility until the summer of 2020. I still didn't understand how I couldn't squat anymore. I am 160 tall and weigh 70 kg. From the long immobility and sudden acceleration one day, somehow my knees bent and I would fall. And so I can't squat. In April I had swelling in my knees, which went away with ice, lubrication and I think the turmeric with a pinch of black pepper helped me. But I can't squat! From July 26, I decided to do knee exercises. Could you tell me which ones are best for restoring squats. I have no swelling at the moment. I have a huge stiffness. I can only sit on a bed and a chair. Because I'm flexible at the waist, I take everything off the ground by bending with my knees straight. However, injuries and the lack of proper rehabilitation in a pandemic have taken their toll. I am a teacher and I am on vacation. I want to deal with building the right attitude to the problem. Could you give me an idea of the most appropriate exercises to restore ankle-knee strength after two consecutive stretches and strong immobilization after that. I'm afraid I've become accustomed to not being able to squat. Just because it doesn't hurt when I work at a desk. Bitter parody truth.

Can I do these exercises if I have knee pain now? I had X-rays already Dr did not see anything serious. I have not been active in two months due to respiratory infection and now I'm getting over Covid. But now my knee hurts . Pills won't help. Diclofenac not working. My knee always flars once in a while. But this time it's bad.

Hi dr jo My uncle had cemented bilateral knee replacement surgery back in 2012 again in 2015 he had polyarthritis and styphlococal arthritis now he is feeling pain in left knee and from several months he is unable to do cycling and walking , He is 82 yrz old so can he do these exercises or what should we do ?

Hi bro i am from india and three months before I have taken MRI THAT RESULT shows quads and patella tendon insertion. And the doctor said to me add some wait to the ankle and lift it sit on the bench. So have done exercise over . That leg become thin other than one. Is it curable from physio theraphy. Get to normal position

Great video thank you! Very informative and easy to follow. I didn't realize how connected my hip strength was with my knee stabilization doing these exercises I really feel the tenderness in my hip muscles that was previously overshadowed by my knee pain. I plan to do these exercises everyday to strengthen up and hopefully prevent my lame knee from dislocating anymore.

My husband and I are active in the dancing, not ballroom but tejano that he a lot of twisting the knee. About a year ago I danced on uneven pavement. I have a slight pain in the top left corner of my knee feels like a bruise more than anything really can feel it while I run as well and squat things like that doesn’t stop me from doing exercise but I have tried the Electric massage with the pads you me tied in a previous video it shortly started to happen after I did a half marathon and a lot of running on he concrete not sure if it’s down to that. Any simple advice you could Give don’t really want to go to the doctor unless I really have to
