I haven't rested so much since I was a child. I move about one day and the next need to lay in bed all day aching and exhausted. I only wish i could exercise. I lay in bed, turn and pull back out! Eating properly, hydrated on lots of water, meditation ... ! Post menopause.

Hi Have you had your fatigue checked by your doctor. Sometimes other health issues can appear post menopause such as underactive thyroid, vitamin D and B12 deficiency, low iron, diabetes and heart disease and all of these can cause crushing fatigue. Your doctor can test for these just to rule them out. Best Wishes Eileen

How v should be care pre menopause and menopause who suffer from thyroid problem
@AvogelCoUk
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Shwetha Supporting thyroid health is really important as you approach the menopause. If you are not on any medication then taking a daily kelp supplement can be helpful. If, however, you are on thyroid medication then acupuncture can be effective. Best Wishes Eileen

@AvogelCoUk
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jade, Dandelion is the herb traditionally used to promote better bile flow. Nonalcoholic fatty liver is best treated by a healthcare practitioner - you can find your nearest nutritional practitioner at www.bant.org.uk, and they will be able to liaise with your doctor.

I have a question that I cannot find an answer for. Please help! I had a complete hysterectomy in 2012...I had a massive tumor and they had to take both ovaries and my uterus. I went through all of the night sweats and hot flashes back when I had the surgery. I am 54 now and I am having all of the same symptoms as I did when I went through surgical related menopause in 2012. Is that even possible? I am having night sweats, hot flashes, and moodiness...by moody I mean crying at the drop of a hat!
@AvogelCoUk
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Cynthia There are a number of possibilities: Even after ovaries are removed your body can continue to manufacture small amounts of oestrogen (mainly for the adrenals and digestive tract) and this can start to decrease around the time you would have had your natural menopause. This decrease can be enough to trigger menopause symptoms. Other health issues such as low iron, low thyroid function, low vitamin D and B12 can appear around this age and all, between them, can cause symptoms very similar to menopause ones. It may be a good idea to ask your doctor to test for these just to rule them out.
