I worked at Costco while i went to college back in 2010, they are flexible to your school schedule and pay 1.5 times your pay on sunday shifts. Made good money for a college student. After 4 years, i made 29 dollars an hour and around 42 dollars for sundays. With school, my hours ranged from 15 to 32 hours depending on how many Classes i signed up for. Only downside is that it can be a demanding job depending on your building and position. Recommend Costco to any college students or people who work retail

Someone said that it's time to be concerned when you start to see individuals shoplifting groceries rather than big-screen televisions, and i agree. Truth is, inflation will never reach 2% ever again, maybe in the next life, but not this one. Anyone purchasing groceries and gasoline is aware that real inflation is much over 10%; they simply lie about it like cheap blankets. In reality, interest rates would be in the 20s because of how high inflation is. But then despite the severe bear market, I am aware of certain investors that continue to earn over $365,000. Wish I could accomplish that.

I totally agree, it's been three years and counting, and I've made over 1.7 million by simply following a coach's advice. I was on the sidelines for a while watching, trying to determine the best time to get in, before I came across a coach, recommended by my wife. I was reluctant at first but I went ahead and contacted the coach. As a small reward for my consistency, I went on a trip to the Bahamas in the late summer. haha

Costco is very good. However they are very limited in choices & you have to buy in bulk there which is a good and bad thing. All bathroom stuff etc 100% Costco. Food is where it gets iffy. Do I really need to buy 10 boxes or more of Kraft Macaroni & cheese when maybe you want 3 or maybe you want Hamburger Helper & that's something Costco doesn't sell. Condiments like Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Mustard etc. Do I really need to buy a big jug or maybe pairs of 2 & pay them $10 or something, & yeah you might save $2 or $3. Or maybe it's just better over paying for a small ketchup bottle that'll cost you $5 - $6 and keep that for a while. Milk is an example of something that is not worth to buy there. You'll pay Milk like $4 there. However the problem is to go in get that milk I have to drive at least 10 km. Also you have to go in the morning cuz Costco are always packed. My local Grocery store is like 1km distance from my house & nobody goes there & you buy your milk at $5.

Having seen a lot of your videos, I noticed there are a LOT of common lessons. But that's a great thing, you only need to remember and practice a handful of things. I enjoyed this one on Costco a lot because it shows these lessons work on all level of scale from personal to enterprise. I didn't know a lot of these behind the scenes about Costco even though I enjoy it as a member! And I liked your idea to shed light on how companies practice slow sustainable growth and look out for their people. We could all benefit from companies that operate like Costco

Unfortunately my wife seems to buy unnecessary items from Costco that she wouldn't regularly buy due to: this must be a great deal mentally. Several snacks she bought really suck, and it takes up space in the pantry and she won't throw it away.

For Snacks Costco is probably the worst store for that, since they lack choice & some of the food are only there like in the Summer then that same food you want to eat in the winter is gone. Costco is a store I really hesitate to buy things in. If example I bought ice cream for $20 For like 18 drumsticks etc, then I ain't buying the other brand of ice cream that costs me another $15. Where as Walmart or other grocery stores maybe you buy maybe ice cream that costs $5 & yeah you over paid it by 1-2 but now you can maybe buy other flavors at $5 & save money that way because you have more choice even though it's a lesser quantity.

I break down two Costco chickens per week leg and wing quarters and back. My husband eats off the bone. All the meat is chopped and frozen in a big Ziploc for use in dishes throughout the week. I also like the ability to try things like the taste test before I buy it because I really hate buying something and ending up disliking it.. I also feel that things that I use and like go on sale a couple times a year, which is nice. The price is already reasonable. Aside from the chickens we don’t buy convenience food just base Staples like single source olive oil or basmati rice we don’t stray from our shopping list.
@tonyp9313

That's cool you cut up the meat & you freeze that in a Ziploc bags. It's also very good to organize your fridge & freezer that way as it takes up way less space too. I try to not buy to many things at Costco to save space in my house.

I'm a member of Costco because a couple of things I buy make it worth it, but the stores basically suck. Checkout lines are hectic, food court is dirty and disgusting, parking lot needs a traffic cop, and so many customers walk around the store like they're the only ones that matter, blocking aisles while they wait on food samples for their 5 kids. It's always crowded and I can't wait to get out of there. I hate going in there!

Hopefully they make decisions based on whats the right thing for their employees and the customers, not only based on popularity contest or what "outsiders" think they need to do and what agenda needs to be pushed. Also comparing to other stores seems that Costco employees are much more happier. If someone gets to the point where they cant get into executive level - pretty sure at that point there are plenty other companies that would take such a individual and would give him or her chance to be rock star there! Costco seems to be more as old school company where someone has position pretty much till they retire
