Not sure this will count, but in Aliens Burke attempts to trap Ripley and Newt in a room with a facehugger hoping to smuggle an alien in them to bring back to Earth. After he is found out, he later locks the others in a room and tries to escape only to be caught by a Xenomorph. In a deleted scene, Ripley later finds Burke stuck to a wall clearly being impregnated himself, begging her to free him. Ripley justs hands him a gernade so he can commit suicide and walks away. Again, it was a deleted scene but very fitting for this list.

What makes Cecilia's revenge so cool is that it was foreshadowed earlier in the film when she found the cloaking suits and hid the 3rd one remembering the location of where she hid it thanks to her photographic memory, and after Adrian outed himself when Cecilia stated she had to go to the bathroom to "freshen up, while figuring out the details to their repaired relationship" that was pretty much the sign she was heading to where she hid the 3rd cloaking suit and then she put it on and killed Adrian the same way he murdered her sister, and placed the knife in his hand to make it look like suicide. Then after taking the suit off after her vengeance complete she plays the part of distraught fiancée while on the phone in order to ensure she's off the hook for his actual death.

Clint Goodman (Tim Matheson) in "Buried alive" is poisoned by his wife Joanna (Jennifer Jason Leigh) and buried, presumed dead, in a cheap coffin. However, being a cheapskate paves the way for Joanna's own downfall, since Clint wakes up in his coffin, digs himself out of the crappy thing, and procedes to trap Joanna and her lover (William Atherton) in a wooden maze. The maze gets smaller and smaller, eventually becoming just another coffin - in which Clint buries JOANNA alive, with her lover's corpse beside her. Some revenge, in a super creepy, early 90s Frank Darabont movie, not to be missed.

From Prof. Paul Brians' "Common errors in English usage": “Macabre” is a French-derived word which in its original language has the final “ruh” sound lightly pronounced. Those who know this are likely to scorn those who pronounce the word “muh-COB.” But this latter pronunciation is very popular and blessed by some American dictionaries, and those who prefer it sometimes view the French-derived pronunciation as pretentious.
