@Jacob Glenman Tarverdyan repeatedly said he was confident that Ronda was way ahead of Holly Holm's league when it came to striking/boxing. He clearly didn't train her competently, because Holly shut her bitch ass down. Had Ronda focused on Jiu Jitsu, you know, that thing she went to the OLYMPICS for, the fight might not have ended so quick, or been so one sided. Tarverdyan is a shit coach, from where I'm sitting. Screaming at your fighter so hard you lose your voice? That shows a lack of control on the coach's part.

Here in Brazil riots are so common they don't even stop the events. Let me share you mt experience, I'm a featherweight amateur jiu jitsu practicioner and I was fighting this openweight tournament, I got to the semi-finals after I beat this lightheavyweight but I got unlucky and my opponent was this huge heavyweight who knocked me out. I woke up seconds later and I was still dazed, but I saw people in the crowd fighting and my coach knocking two dudes out. They told me I became a fan favorite because I was the only one who weighed less than 94 kilograms(I think that is 205 pounds for american, i'm not sure) in the semi-finals, the other two guys were light heavyweight, so when I lost people got upset and attacked the guy who beat me up and somehow the fight spread all over the place but the event cintinued after some people got thrown out of the building and in the end the guy who beat me up won the tournament.

I used to do a side-job in college of being an Intramural referee. Intramural is inner-college groups (like frat v frat), and the sport changed with the season. The sport that made me quit was basketball. The football team's basketball team (As in, the people from the University football team that participated in intramurals) was facing off against some frat. The two teams had some major audiences for intramural, and we just do the games in the gym with no audience seating. We weren't used to actual spectators. I was actively reffing, and basketball is a fast-paced ref sport, so I didn't hear it, but somebody yelled something, and the dude with the ball yelled back. The next thing I know, a spectator rushes the court to attack the guy with the ball, his friends on the field rush to help, more spectators rush in, and before I even realized what was going on a thirty man brawl had broken out with people swinging left and right. It carried down the gym and interrupted two other games before it was stopped. Both teams got ejected from the season and to this day I am utterly amazed that anyone would be so ballistic over intramurals. I quit soon after because I am not cut out for that kind of pressure. I hadn't even been working there for more than 2 seasons.

Apparently there are places where throwing anything (a towel or otherwise) in the cage is against the rules. You're meant to go to an official and appeal for a stoppage.
