I just joined this group a week ago. I am a recent widow at 81. At first glance it seemed like this was aimed at much younger women than me; but this video, Margaret, makes it clear that age is not a factor and your advice and ideas are timeless. I felt immediately included. This will be a favorite place for me to go for an uplift and ways to cope through the long winter. Thank you.

Seasonal changes are very much like the cycle of life. We change and do slow down, but joy brings peace to our soul. I found lightening my room with soft, white fairy lights, bringing joy and comfort. Keeping up some Christmas decorations during the winter months makes it less gray. Eating food that is in season is nourishing and helps fight the winter blues and fight colds and flu. Citric fruits are so good and make warm teas soothing. Daily fresh air and daylight. Open a window for a small period of time to refresh your room and let the day light in. Add colorful accessories to you outer ware. Margaret suggested this a time before. Colorful scarfs ,gloves, hats, etc. Do not hibernate, dance to music, move within one's limits, stay in touch, and know you are loved.❤

I love fall and winter, but, here in the States, my area got almost no snow at all last year. Fall is beautiful, I love the crisp air, foliage and coziness. I don't mind staying home, lighting delicious scented candles and my (electric) fireplace, which is quite realistic. Warm or electric blankets..love! 🙂 I'm an introvert all year round, so I don't feel worse in winter, because I dislike hot, humid summer weather. Thanks for sharing this, Margaret..feel better. I hope you feel better. Even though I am an extrovert, I do embrace the winter months. I play some nice music, drink a hot beverage and organize closets, drawers and anything I can find. I play beautiful cafe music via KZitem channels on my television and light candles throughout my home. It is a good time to prep your garden for the cold months, write cards to friends and family members and clean out your file cabinets of documents no longer needed. Winter is my favorite season.

I didn’t realize a person could volunteer virtually! That’s interesting. Just like going on a vacation virtually! There’s really no reason to feel so alone or isolated if one has access to the Internet. I hope you feel better! You always look so pretty. The prettiest thing about you is your smile….I know it’s real because you eyes light up too! Thank you for being you Margaret and you are appreciated a lot!🙏❤️🕊️🦋🌸

Margaret, you are such a touchstone for comfort. I often start my day off with you and my first cup of coffee. Fall is my favorite season! Winter is going to be very hard for me this year. Since the end of June I have lost my 95 year old mum and now 10 days ago, my beloved soul cat of 20 years old. I am 72 and find myself living alone for the first time in my life. I know I am lucky to have shared my life with both of them for so long but even a lifetime is not enough. I am desolate and don’t know how to cope. I am the last of the family and ME and heart problems have made me housebound . They say that grief is love with nowhere to go and it’s very true. I couldn’t have been, but I so regret that I wasn’t with my mum when she died. With Kati I knew that she was close to death and hugged her lying on the sofa and she died in my arms. It was a very intense, loving moment and very special to me. She had had a good life with us and I’m so glad I could give her comfort and love as she peacefully slept the long sleep. I must now cherish my memories of mum and Kati as I try to put my life back together. Thank you Margaret for building up a safe space where I can share a little of the grief I am feeling💕

Thanks to your wonderful channel and ideas on virtual places to visit and walking tours...I just visited the Louvre Museum! It was so beautiful inside with the Mona Lisa painting and gorgeous sculptures. I really enjoyed it and learned alot about when the museum was a fortress for the King. I know I'll never travel there, but I did virtually. Thank you Margaret for that great idea when its cold and rainy out! Cant wait to check out many other countries, states, and interesting places. Hope you feel better. Drink lots of your yummy teas. ❤

Copying up my house is definitely my thing, but I'm going to have to catch up with the world and learn about navigating the web for more ideas! Harder to make friends at this age.... it's always interesting to me that there are so many of us going through the same things at the same time, because we're widowed, divorced, single by choice, women live longer, etc, etc... but we're spread out so, we can communicate ONLINE but not so much in person where we really need it. In any case, yeah, having the sun go down at 5 pm is pretty depressing. Not much going on in my area because I don't drive, and I'm interested in visiting or volunteering at senior centers, as many are much older, or infirm and I don't seem to have much in common (hope that doesn't sound harsh). On well -- communicating online is better than not at all, right?

I agree, most people on this channel are 70 and older, of course, everybody, and this include Mrs. Margaret, wants to stay young. If I would be Margaret, I would change the name of the channel to "70" and above. Just a suggestion!❤

Perhaps, Marieta, you could expand on the point you are trying to make?! The Channel is aimed at women 60 and over. What difference does It make whatage the Channel host is, or i deed her appearance? I assume you are trolling.
