You can pick up and go without much loss outside of the action itself, and almost everything will still make sense, without losing it's nuance. And what makes your point (and OP's) even stupider is that AEW doesn't need replays, because they have their desk TELL you what's happening and why instead of showing you 90 times. One of the most egregious examples of WWE “forgetting” their own history: Ricky Steamboat was extremely popular in the mid to late 80’s, and had his legendary match against Macho Man before leaving in 1988. He returned to WWF just 3 years later, under the same ring name and everything…and the commentators were instructed to act as though he was brand new, calling him a “rookie” and “exciting newcomer”, pretty much ignoring his very recent history in the company. At least when Tony Atlas returned as Saba Simba, it was supposed to be a brand new totally unrelated character (which still didn’t stop Roddy Piper from yelling “It’s Tony Atlas!” during Simba’s debut).

I think what's worse is, expecting WWE to make it all look unnecessarily real when you know it's impossible. Just like how it's impossible to create a film in a Truman Esq setting. It's a TV show. It's fiction. It's a universe. Dancing is rehearsed, but it's real. Acting is rehearsed, but it's real. You suspend your disbelief. That's it. WWE is not supposed to make you, a full grown adult, to feel like you're a kid again. The only way that can happen is nostalgia. But you can't enjoy the product as you enjoyed the product in your earlier days, that's what happens when people grow up. When you watch a movie, you're excuse the camera cuts. You excuse the songs. You excuse the characters's intimate scenes being shown to you. You believe it. You don't stupidly question. : "How am I watching this? I know these are paid actors, following scripts. But I want them to make it look real. I want the scenes, dialogues, to look like they're being secretly recorded. And I want the actors to acknowledge the camera somehow. Make it look real." That's dumb. If you want movies to be like the way you want WWE to be like, you'll get Matrix Resurrection every week for 5 hours.

Sounds like a personal problem. I shouldn't have to suffer because you can't pay attention.

@@SirRavixofFourhorn that's dumb. how exactly are you suffering. Nobody is forcing you to watch 🤣

@@poja101 If you actually watched the video, you'd notice that the replays they're mentioning are the ones that happened a few minutes prior, that happen three times every segment. WWE doesn't do recaps from week to week, because that would mean they'd have to actually know what they're doing week to week. That's AEW's job.

To be fair a lot of these have gotten better since Vince "left". Problems are still there though.

Maybe the replays weren’t intended to make us feel stupid, maybe they are they as a way of saying to Vince “look what happened, you signed off on this, DONT FORGET IT VINCE”

The replays are sponsored segments, they are there to make money. Its why we don't see everyone drinking gfuel in catering every episode.

you start with my biggest complaint. they could easily fit another match in if they skipped recaps.

Damn is Trips still doing fake crowd noise? I figured that'd be one of the things changed in the new regime.

he hasn’t, notice that some of the Raw and Smackdown crowds be dead silent when a return or good match is happening

As a 90's kid .. I know it wont be possible now but still i wanted to see a dream match between The Undertaker vs The Sting .. I mean , Nowadays we all know that wwe is not that much good enough and their booking of matches kinda boring and sucked as compared to before it was .. It would be a Dream come true for every 90's born . But ☹️
