I'm never hungry and most of the time I don't won't to even drink water. Should I force myself to drunk water is my question? I'm going for 30 days, but I feeling great about this. I might as well 40 days and 40 night like Jesus. And I believe I'm doing so well because I've been home away from work. And intermittent fasting. Feeling so many positive effects! However, yesterday I "fell off the wagon". I'm blaming it on the weather! We had a wicked cold snap with zero and minus wind chill and I had farm work to do outside. Triggered a binge, including 12+ cups of popcorn. So today, I'm restarting and thinking about throwing out all the popcorn and ridding of the air popper?

Very good points especially near the end as to different trademarked and misspelled names! I'm already "on guard" when shopping in warehouse shopping clubs because food packaging is so carefully designed to fool everyone, but this gives me better filters and "red alerts" to watch for. Such that if some package gives me an expectation of "health from good fruit inside" then ... I'll just buy the fruit (though I don't since am on Keto & IF since Sept 2020, just over 2 years ago). Another health benefit is to get your past organic. If it is not organic, the wheat or plant comes from a chemical, pesticidal ground in which it was cultivated. These pesticides/chemicals are potential carcinogenic not to mention the obesity they cause.

Agreed. I'm especially interested in what he has to say about allulose. It's the one I like the best.

I saw tapioca in a mackerel in tomatoes box yesterday, along with some crappy sunflower oil, and some E300 something I think. A horrible way to make something healthy into poison. Read the labels. Products changes. Pay attention, and don’t buy something you don’t know what is. The sardines in the same brand seems to be ok for now. But we aleays need to check before buying. There are many brands out there.

What about allulose? Allulose competes with the same pathway that sugar uses and actually lowers blood sugar some. I would be very interested in hearing your thoughts on allulose.

We have to remain vigilant with “anything” that we put in our mouths. Even “natural” items have been tampered with such as fruits that have been sugar enhanced.

Dr. Ekberg, which salad dressings are safe to eat while trying to clean and improve my kidney health? I like Italian and creamy saucasa dressings but both contain soy. I watched one video that said soy is bad!!

Thanks for the Sugar PDF file. I have been trying to keep up with all the names for 'Sugar' used by the food industry but at my age that has become an almost impossible task. Now that I have your list that is now resident on my smart phone... well, they will have a much harder time fooling me. 👍

Hi Dr. Ekberg! What are your thoughts on natural maple syrup and coconut sugar?
@HappilyCarnivore

They're still sugar and still just as bad. Sugar is sugar is sugar, and even carbs turn into sugar.

Someday I would really like to see you reveal how you make these videos. I know I am seeing a mirror image, but it would be fun to see how it is done. I don't think I have seen anyone else on the internet do this. I really appreciate all the good information and have benefitted a great deal from intermittent fasting and changes in my diet.

At 6:38, Dr. E explains how complex carbs, most likely all carbs, tap the pleasure receptors in our brain. I've been on carnivore for 32 days with great results, BUT I am dealing with a depression I had never had! I am wondering if it is because I am not eating carbs and thus, not tapping the 'happy' brain receptors and not creating that euphoric response I have had I the past. I truly speculate this theory and wonder how long it lasts.

What I see during these days with rising food prices is that they often give discounts on unhealthy processed food and food with added sugar and keep the price high on healthy food.
