I've watched a couple of your food truck videos. I don't see any discussion of the whole "commissary" thing. Explain that more and the cost of it and location and stocking and equipping etc. Maybe go back and do a "part 3" just on her commissary and how she uses it. Thanks

Why don't people rent a food truck or trailer instead of buying? Because what if they hate it? Or there is no path to profit?
@UpFlip
3 жыл бұрын
A lot of people do rent/lease their food trucks. It's a great idea and like you said Matt its one way to reduce your risk and upfront costs when starting the business. That being said you can also find some really good deals when buying trucks so sometimes buying a well priced used truck actually makes sense financially.

This has been so informative, thank you! I have begun research to start a food truck, and the first snag I find is there don't seem to be any food commissaries on Long Island. I'm sure my neighbors would mutiny against me if I parked one of these in my driveway, not to mention service, storage, food prep and wastewater and grease clean-up. If I had the wherewithal, I'd start one myself.

i am writing this from Ajman ...this is the Emirate next to Dubai. in 2018 i found a location as per my liking for my cafeteria. however the building was not complete and finally building got completed in 2019 November. i started paying rent and this was a shell with no electricity, water or drainage connection plus so many health regulations because this is a food business and top of that the pandemic hit us. however with all the ups and downs i will be opening in few weeks. i am absolutely new to all this, so their a lot of low moments for me because have spent a lot of money and worked day and night on this, without taking off days and everyone i meet tells me that i should have not invested my money in the food business. videos like these help me learn and gets me motivated . thankyou very much

I’m here learning what would be a good price to pay to be at an event?
@cookncrook6902

@@Sexylady0715 I assume it would depend on a variety of factors. $800 does sound steep imagine how many $8-10 sandwiches you would have to sell just to cover your entry fee.
@dandietzel
2 жыл бұрын
@@cookncrook6902 For good events, food trucks will pay that price or higher for a seat at the table. Lot of factors. Was that $800 a one time fee for a multi-day event? Or was that for a single day event? If an event is asking for that fee, it's because they know they can and they already have others fighting for a spot at their event.
@cookncrook6902

@@dandietzel That doesn’t mean it’s worth the ticket price

@@cookncrook6902 Each business needs to know if that event fits their style. If they know they can turn product and hit high numbers, it's definitely worth it. If you are a slower serving operation with lower margins, you probably can't handle the crowds at the pace needed to net the high margins you might need.
