Sir, as a representative of the Ukrainian people, words cannot describe how grateful I am for what you are doing. 11 years is a long time, life takes very unexpected turns, could you imagine 11 years ago - where will you be now? What would you think if someone told you that in 11 years you will help the people of Ukraine in this unjust war against everything human. Please take care of yourself and take care of your brothers in arms.

I have an addictive personality and I can tell you, I have been rock bottom and beyond saving. Everyone around me gave up. There is however, something within me that rised from the bottom and found meaning in the psyche ward i was locked up in as a teenager. I started to go to room, to room trying to lift the spirits of those who were so ill and damaged and it gave me a sense of stepping outside my own jail. It became my mission and i felt so deep empathy and a sense of purpose to my life. I could never make sense why i felt soo deeply and the details that most wouldnt pay attention to, within, i always felt so much about everything and it was no escape, so i escaped by drugs, by alcohol, by doing very dangerous and potential life ending shit. Just very destructive towards myself. Today I'm a healthy functional person dedicated to help people in healthcare. It gave purpose and stability within. I didn't value myself but found a way to value life by helping others. ❤

Change is so hard and you changed the addictive behavior for the better. I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder and suffered a traumatic brain injury. I fight the thoughts to give up daily. The war rages in my head sometimes without end. I wish I had an answer for how to make those feelings go away. But, you inspire me and make me smile. Your words ring out so much Brandon. I am dealing with alcohol abuse. I'm a functioning alcoholic but it is in control of my life and I am ashamed that it got this way after losing my Brother. I'm not sure if I can get through it and out the other side. But I want you to know that across all the vids I have watched of yours (which is all of them) your words of wisdom have motivated me onwards to break free of these chains. I was a go get sort of guy before then. Like you I was self employed most of my life and I yearn for all that again. So thank you for your stories. They are an inspiration; if not for many then for me. I am now looking for ways to come to Ukraine as a volunteer. Not to fight, but to help in anyway I can. I have many skills and I think that would be a way to break my chains in the effort to help others who are more deserving than I to raise themselves up. I will admit that I had fanciful ideas to come and help you but I would not be a benefit to your efforts; but we can all dream. So that is why I am now looking to find organisations and approach them to come and help Ukraine in whatever small capacity I can. And that is in some part due to you. You are an inspiration sir. The only thing I could offer as advice is that you do not need to look for Father figure as you are one. You only need to look to yourself. And Brandon. Don't die Dude as one day I hope to shake your hand.

God damn this hits home, I'd a severe gambling addiction for a about 3 years. I came to realise then that I'd always been an addict. Always lived with the really manic/bad decision making teamed with excessive womanising, drinking, drug use, extreme selfishness. The gambling really ruined my life at the time. Finally knocked it on the head 4 years ago after a few brief relapses. I'll never go back. I'm weak enough to still seek escape through drink and weed but they don't ruin my life with the same immediacy, but yes...the aimless, restless, addictive personality and all that it entails is a real, real fucking problem. My next hurdle is to cut the "lockdown weed" thing and become the man who can do without again. More outward looking and switched on to life outside myself. I admire you for being strong enough to knock it all on the head, it's superhuman, it really is. You've a serious strength to maintain your sobriety Brandon, congratulations on the struggle so far. Eleven fucking years! You're not alone in the battle with the self, I struggle daily with myself but we do our best, keep rebuilding and looking forward. You're doing exceptionally good things because of all your experience, you already know that. Thanks for sharing man, it'll help anyone who listens x

Hope you are proud of yourself every day. From an 82-year old widow woman in California, thank you. I have come to believe that gratitude is the key to life. Especially during Covid when I had to isolate alone, I found at least 3 reasons every night to give thanks. You are well on your way, Brandon, to filling that hole. I wish you joy!❤

I will always say congratulations! IDC bc addiction is the hardest thing ever to deal with on a daily basis. Life is hard as it is but then to have to stay sober on top of it, definitely deserves a congratulations! Being a recovering addict myself & struggled to stay clean for years, I know how hard it is. When I used to see anyone with years of sobriety, I never could understand how could they do it, how could they deal with life & not pick up. It took me years to understand & my issue was I had not fully surrendered myself. So you should be extremely proud of what you've accomplished. You tend to put your down & over look the good you've done but that's just the addict in you. So for today atleast be proud of yourself please. Stay safe my friend.🙏❤️

Happy 11th sober birthday! We should congratulate people for not screwing up, if we did it more often, I believe, more people wouldn't hit a rock bottom (and stay there for some). If we could be a little kinder and uplift each other....so- keep up the good work and be proud of yourself!
