Some other books that you can read to add to your already well researched knowledge-base are: 1) The Fasting Cure 2) The Miracle of Fasting 3) The Pleasure Trap 4) The Blue Zones There are more but these books should help you amp up your game. I'm assuming you should be well aware of all the books by Dr Jason Fung so didn't really mention any of them. He's certainly an authority on this subject. The video was really well made and I quite liked how you cut to the chase with rich content and some anecdotal references. I am in the process of marrying and creating a holistic synergy between Western medicine, latest research, Ayurveda and Naturopathy and treat myself like a guinea pig all in pursuit of good health and well-being and videos and books have been of immense help. Great video again! Gesundheit! P.S: My birthday falls on the Autumnal Equinox (Sep 23) and I used to reply to everyone's wishes by saying "Happy Autumnal Equinox". Your pinned comment reminded me of those days 😀 ❤️ Ending my long winded comment now 😂 Cheers!

I am on the GAPS diet right now which is also a grain-free protocol, and I have had amazing benefits! Body pains I've chalked up to "just getting old" have completely vanished. I am glad you are doing well with this too! Thanks for another great video!

GAPS is great, I did it a while back. dr. Natasha is great! I always recommend her book to people. What has helped me most was eliminating both, sugar and grain together - hard to imagine, how much difference these two can make :) So lovely to hear from you Alyson, and glad things are swell at your end xx

Thanks for the super informative video Kiran (and all the very helpful resource material much appreciated 🙏 ) I know a Yogananda recommended regular fasting for health : Can I ask is the fasting window at set time each day and can this start in early evening ?
@MindfulnesswithKiran

Hi Will, you can set the fasting window based on your schedule. Most people, prefer to take meal between 6-7:30pm but again, no hard or fast rule. When starting out in OMAD, I would focus more on the protocol rather than the 'right' time. Because after few days or weeks - you will be intuitively guided to the right time/duration. Just sharing my 2 cents. Please only take what resonates.

I am Akshay from Pune. I am 68Kg now and my height is 5’5 inches and I want to lose 8Kg in 55 days. I want to look good in my wedding which is on 16th Feb. I only walk in the morning for 2 hours. Do you think I will lose 8 kgs in 2 months by following this diet and walking for 2 hours and burning 1000 calories per day?Is it possible?

Hi, yes it's possible to lose weight when you combine exercise with right food. Instead of One meal a day - have you considered doing Intermittent Fasting? That might be worth checking out. You don't want to shock your system and go from eating 3x/day to once a day. I was already doing 16:8 fasting when I made the switch. Also, when your body starts burning fat as a fuel - you will automatically lose weight. So make sure to learn that. Hope this helps.

Hey! You might want to go slow on OMAD if you are noticing nutritional deficiencies. Sometimes too much too soon can overstress your body. On how many calories & how much protein intake will depend on your activity level & what diet you are following. I suggest doing a search on Google & taking lead from there. Hope this helps.

@@MindfulnesswithKiran Please look up Chris Knobbe. Seed oils companies have been literally poisoning our food system purposely for profit. I have seen dramatic results eating an ancestrally appropriate diet and yes I've definitely noticed the difference with removing seed oils. I used to think I had an issue with fat before understanding the difference between healthy animal fats and toxic seed oils. I used to have terrible stomach pain after eating fried foods and such and terrible inflammation! Now, I eat about 1/2 stick of grass fed butter a day... Feel great.

@@CarisaRae Super duper! I am so glad to hear that you have recovered well. I know Coconut oil and Olive oil are also technically seed oil. do you consider these toxic? I like the taste of olive oil in salads so would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks xx

I am on day 18 of the OMAD Diet with 23 hr fasting window, the first few days will be hard and you might rethink but if you overpass that phase you will get all the benefits. 1. No Sugar craving 2. Undoubtedly better Skin 3. Down 9 pounds ( ~4 Kg) weight -- no muscle loss, only fat Tips during fasting hours: 1. Have black coffee without sugar, you can also add cream( not milk) but in very limited amounts( ~1 tbsp). 2. Masala lemon tea ( with no added sugar/ honey) or any herbal tea 3. Try to maintain the feasting window every day. P.S - Stay hydrated, increase your daily water intake if it's at a lower level😊 Happy Fasting!!!!!!!!!!!!!
