Great tutorial. Some tips / alternate approaches folks might be interested to try: 01:30 - In addition to the Transform Node, you can use the Geometry Axis node to pre-transform the cube so that it is sitting on the floor with the Axis at the edge of the door (Y: 100%, Z: -100%). Add the Transform node after and then your axis/rotation are as expected. _Note: Rigging/animating a door is probably better handled with XPresso/Keyframes on the completed Nodes Mesh door primitive as the transform node is moving/rebuilding the actual points of the object, not just modifying the object-level matrix/transform._ 09:49 - Not critical as the performance difference is negligible with something so simple, but: Rather than duplicating the sphere and transform and reconnecting each, you can Cmd + Shift drag on the Transform node which will duplicate it and maintain connection to the inputs. This means that rather than calculating the creation of two spheres, the calculation for a single sphere is re-used in two places in your graph. 14:50 - In other DCCs / Programming Languages mix is sometimes called Linear Interpolation (LERP). 16:04 - You can directly connect the Distribution to a Copy to Points node which allows you to skip the Decompose and Iterate Collection nodes. (Well, not actually for this setup as you're creating custom colors based on index ratio). 20:32 - You can set all points to a single color by changing the Geo Property Set (Color) Fallback mode to "Custom". This will auto-create an array of the appropriate size and apply the color you specify to all points of the polygon/input geo.

Your tutorials are the best which I ever saw in the terms of C4D nodes. I don't know why Maxon couldn't do that, especially if their node system is little more different, complicated compared to other node systems. Your tutorials explains how exactly it works. How it can be powerful for artists who knows how to use them. I think that this system is badly documented in official manual. You are the person who tells how to use it and how they works. Thank you very much for that ! Noseman has great tutorials too but he give only sample tips or little tuts how to make some things. But your tutorials give knowledge how to really use nodes from deeper side.

Thank you, we are doing our best and are happy to see it helps! This effort is possible solely because of CORE4D forum and support from it's members. Stay tuned, more lessons are coming : )

Really appreciate the work you're doing on this series! When I searched for your latest by typing "scene nodes" or "Scene Nodes C4D" this video didn't come up. Any chance you could use more descriptive video titles and the phrase "scene nodes" in the future so they're more likely to turn up in a general search?

Thanks, we are trying. We use all the possible tags but seems yt algo is not surfacing us on top. We can add "scene nodes" to title, that should help.

@@CORE4D Thanks to your renaming from "13 Conforming" to "13 Scene Nodes - Conforming" your videos are now showing up right at the top when I search for "c4d scene nodes" and sort by Upload Date. Really appreciate it!
