So true! I used to think being kind was a bit twee. But now I realise, those that have experienced a lot and are STILL kind?! That takes true strength! 👌🙌 I haven't heard it expressed like your dad did though. Love it! 😋💫

I know I impressed people when they found out I paid off my student loans - that i have a bachelors degree - that my credit rating is really really good - that I could qualify to buy a house - that I Home schooled my youngest 2 kids - and on and on ! I was a teen mom and not sure if I inspired anyone but I am grateful my hard work paid off

Yep! I realised that many people on social media (or anywhere, really) live enviable lives. But are they *admirable*?? Not necessarily. 🤷♀️ A lot is about what they have, not what they give or contribute. It clarified that that's really not how I want my life to be. I'd rather be rich in nature and biodiversity. To have peace and calm, and a good sense of self, instead of chasing the latest thing they want us to chase. I think I need to sit down and map out what wealth and success look like for me, because it's not what's commonly taught. The minimalist way is far more my scene, but it's still good to personalise it. Such great tips! And yes, parents, please build a relationship with your children! It's not a job you do until they're an adult and can take care of themselves. It's a relationship that grows and evolves as each of you journeys through the stages of life. Foster something that you will want to last your lifetimes! 🙌 Great video, thank you, Joshua! 🙏🌈💫

Sometimes trying to impress people is a sign of depression. It's a way of deflecting from how someone is really feeling or suicidal ideation. It's a cry for help.
