Build your strength, stamina and fitness level by holding still! In this video I’m hoping to challenge you for about 15 continuous minutes through 16 different one minute isometric exercises a.k.a. static holds with absolutely no break in between. But we’ll still lose a few seconds each time we change positions so this workout gets the official name 15 Minute Static Hold Challenge.
This is something you can do without any fitness gear whatsoever and the entire workout can be done at home with a bit of floor space and a small section of a wall you can use to brace against if needed.
Follow along as best you can and if you possible do this entire routine a second time or maybe even three times total. Increase the time for each hold if you can or decrease it if needed. You can also do this like a drop set and shorten the length of time by half each time you go through all the holds.
First hold them all for 1 minute, second time through hold each position for only 30 seconds and third time only hold them for 15 seconds.
The goal is to stress the muscle groups by placing constant load on them over time. To start don’t worry too much about perfect form or technique, just make sure you feel good tension and maintain it to the point of major fatigue or failure.
