@Gggg freedom fighters that break up Ireland when it was united for the first and only time in its history. Then kill Irish vets & destory the farms by scaring off all the major land owners. Then lose control of the goverment till 1947 due to a shite police and army force. Then try to take the north for the 2nd time in 100 years and fail horribly with mi5 still haveing aggenst in the ira ruining there operations to this day. Yeah fuck up mate I will always stand by the Irish kingdom you cunts just ruined the only time in our history our island was any good. Now am off to do some money management all I would suggest is look at your history and embrace the saint patricks order and denouce your communist republic and maby some day I will buy you a pint in dublin when our kingdom is united with the rest again :)

@Gggg The Ira literally were a Marxist group of terrorists fighting for a United Socialist republic. Imagine calling the prods brainwashed when you think the Ira are actual freedom fighters, a good majority in the south hates them aswell you clown.

@Gggg I'll be honest with ya mate, you cannot say that you want to educate me when you support a terrorist organisation that bombed civilians. I think you should read a wee book there lad.

There were some weird things going on in the movies but, it’s a view from some filmmaker who is trying to make money and a high profile 🤔 🙄. I don’t know but, I think it’s all BS. Have a wonderful weekend Sir and I wish you a good night 🥱 💤 😴 🌀 ☘️. ✌️

@tom the cat123 Would you not consider opposing parts of the Gaelic revival and attempting to remove the Irish peoples identity somewhat oppressive. And they still fought for a free Ireland for the Irish people.

The 1916 rising was actually very unpopular when it first happened. Dublin citizens cheered on the British Army (partially composed of Irish soldiers) when they arrived and they jeered at the rebels when they were captured. Violent Revolution was largely unpopular until AFTER the generally disapproved of rebels were executed. The standard of living and prosperity of Ireland was likewise improving on a pace comparable to their English counterparts up until the war. The position of Catholics also improved over time. However, the independence war, the civil war, and political machinations greatly hindered that prosperity and took it down several pegs. It also engendered even more sectarian hatred that would cause decades of hardship in the north. The IRA and the IRB had always been fringe groups until that point also. If there weren’t so many executions, then Ireland would still be a constituent country of the United Kingdom.
