I have this radio and it is piece of work, the shutter dial and motorized tuning makes this radio one of the all time greats! I also have the 12 tube 12s266 and the sound on it is unbelievable. A ton of bass. Look forward seeing you bring this one back to life. Just found the videos. Noticed it still has the original 6T5 eye tube. That is rare to find one of those that still works

Yes, it is an excellent radio! It was lots of fun to work on this unit! I hope to get more of this series completed. Actually, I have finished the radio but have been really busy. So I have not had time to edit and upload the next ones in the series yet. Hopefully, I can get them up to KZitem soon!

@@ElectroRestore I Just bought a big 20 tube Philco 38-690 and from what I've read this was the best Philco ever made. I know one thing it is a brute. Suppose to have some serious sound. We'll see

Nice radio but it is a 1938 Zenith, not a 1943. There were no civilian radios produced in 1943.

That would make sense. They were making war equipment then. Though the IF can are a real mystery.

Good Morning! Your job is very good. These Zenith radios are works of art! Please put the link to the dial mechanism files developed by Kurt Emde for us to appreciate this advanced system built over eighty years ago! Enjoying your work here in Brazil! Greetings!
