When I was around ten years old, a neighbor of mine and myself, would play in a abandon 1946 Dodge truck, on the 44 acres where I grew up. It was left there in the early 60's, because it got stuck in the mud. We moved there in 1964, so it was there since we moved there. The past owner, was another friends dad's, said he got stuck, and left it there all winter. In the spring he said it would not start, and just left it there, as he really didn't need it anymore. He was hauling fire wood in it. That truck was there until 2005, when a developer came in and cleared the land, for a subdivision full of McMansions! The old Dodge was just a big pile of unrecognizable rusted sheet metal, with trees coming threw it, before they bulldozed it. Your Dodge brings back a lot of good memories, so thank you very much for sharing it!

I am sorry that your videos continue to be de-monitized by KZitem. I learn so much from watching all of your videos; I really just don't understand it. It was great to hear that you're going to keep on making the videos despite this. So long as you keep making them, I'll keep watching.

Had a buddy that spent a boatload of money on new rims and tires for his old Ford truck and took them to the tire store to have them mounted and installed. He also bought some chrome lug nuts which the tire store didn't know (or maybe care) that they were the wrong style. One of the wheels came off on his way home. Trashed the wheel, the brakes, and dented the crap out of the fender. The tire store wouldn't give him a dime. Said it was his fault for buying the wrong lug nuts.

I love the old Dodge. I hope you are able to find the needed parts and that the engine is ok and you are able to make a local driver out of it. The separating glass sure brings back memories from my youth when the Fords that dad had would have the same problems with the glass. Those old cars from that time were daily drivers and had the most unique and pleasant smell inside. Oh the memories and the good times of the past. Thank you.

Great look , I totally agree with you . An old biker buddy "French Man' loved trikes, In the 90's he built a Dodge pickup like that into a trike. he got rid of the front fenders made a single wheel in the front , put an Olds tornado frt drive in the bed. He drove it from Palmer, Alaska to the East coast and back, cool looking ride.

Looks a lot better already. If I were to run those wheels with those lugs I'd rather re-turn the taper on the nuts. Simple lathe job. Saves taking all the wheels off again. As the wheels are pressed steel it might be better to leave them as factory. I had a 57 Buick, that had 5" bolt circle with 9/16 lugs. Mine had bolts, but I think later ones had lug nuts. Like all your videos, please keep posting despite youtube's shenanigans. I know you can't put "thank you"s in the bank, but Thank You for consistently posting interesting and well made videos. Mart.

I like it too...knew about reverse threads on one side (didn't know it went this far back) but never knew about lug nut angles...hope you don't have to wait too long for the water pump to come in...l've noticed there's not much over hang on the back of those Astro vans (good tow vehicle for a bumper pull trailer) & was thinking they had short leaf springs - might come in handy for straight axle steering on a future build
