This generation of Studebaker was a bit ahead of the rest of the post war car manufacturers. People didn't quite know what to make of the styling. The front fenders bore some resemblance to Frazer's 1951 model, and the Henry J. The central piece of the grille resembled Ford grilles of the time. The engine was a quite reliable flathead 6 for the Champion.
