Nice to hear a Jazzmaster actually being used to play Jazzy/Bluesy-sounding music. Some sweet sounds happening here, and having a seasoned player who knows what they're doing always helps. Highly insightful and educational on the tonal versatility of the Fender Jazzmaster. Thanks for posting.

I owned a 1962 Jazzmaster with flat wound strings in white finish.played in rock band with it for several years through a fender dual reverb amp. I never had a problem with the bridge as far as strings popping out. I was not gentile with it either. there is an arctic white Jazzmaster hanging on the wall now.I collect and build guitars. I was smart enough to buy a set of spare pickups back then. The pickups are in a body shaped like a double cut gibson and sounds beautiful played through a modified fender princeton reverb circuit amp. switch up princeton reverb tone stack. switch down marshal tone stack. Also have home built dual reverb and fender bassman,. use speakers with 12 and 8 inch speakers in each box. great sounds.

I have a white 62’ Jazzmaster and I play a style very similar to yours. I started at age 10 in 1965. Played in my high school jazz band, but my focus is the old jump blues of the late 40’s and 50’s. You had to know how to back a horn player because the sax man got the solo. Those old guitar players learned to solo imitating a sax. That’s what I try to do.

An actual musician making a video here. The tone, tempo, riff's are so good. You have made up my mind. I want and shall purchase a JM. I'm 68 and Blues is now my favorite style. The Rhythm tone did it for me. But actually every note was in the zone that I consider worth listening too. I'm putting your video on "Loop" for the rest of the evening. I subscribed too!

I did get it and I am enjoying playing upon it. Good variety of tones. ! I prefer to play sitting down and my Jazzmaster is the most comfortable to play sitting down. I believe that's the intent of the "offset" body design. My situation is that I love most of my guitars! They all bring something to the table. Man you can play! I set your video to "loop" -again today! I enjoy listening to good music.

ElaineFromSeinfield It is a 2018 Two Tone brown-Players Special MIM for $849 at Sweetwater. Very high quality, great fit and finish, a little heavy for me at over 8 lbs. Mine has a hum that can be loud if you don't hold onto the strings. I guess it follows the original un-shielded design. That's a guess! But the hum is there! If I play -make contact with the strings the guitar is dead silent except for the music of course.
