WTG! Good job on the restore and the engine sounds great and I would guess it welds like a dream. I have a 1962 redface blue dial. I bought the welder from a grandson of a deceased farmer who told me it was a 1953. I bought the welder for 650$ loaded it onto my trailer and after I got home I decided to run the model number on Lincoln's web site where I was glad to find that is was a 62. It ran and welded but had only one upgrade and that was a points and condenser in place of the magneto. Anyway I have just bought and received every upgrade you can go with about 1,800 $ worth and am about to start the restore process. You've got a great welder there, hang on to it. Nothing welds and performs like an old SA-200.

I wire wheeled the frame and removed the loose rust and treated it with rust etching primer, turning the rust into black carbon. Wire brushed the frame again to remove loose deposits , primed it with two coats of Rust-Oleum professional primer, and then two coats of paint.

How much would it cost to restore one exactly like that one

@@houstonbigfooter It could be that the air/fuel adjustment screw on the carb needs adjusting. Bad plug wires and spark plugs that I've found on other machine can cause the cough issue.

@cj7fun579
5 жыл бұрын
@@mauriciosaldana6207 It all depends on the condition of the machine from the beginning. My engine was all rebuilt to like new condition. The generator was in good condition along with exciter and coils. Lots of cleaning and prep work. I ended up spending around $5000.00 in the end. Allot depends on how far you want to go.

thanks for responding appreciate it.My question is in regards to the cross-country 300 what is your opinion on that ,on that welder . I'm also thinking of buying one of those or just rebuilding one of my sa200. What is your opinion on the cross-country if you may.
@CJ7fun-zv2hs
5 жыл бұрын
@@mauriciosaldana6207 I don't know much about the Cross Country 300. The SA 200 is much simpler to work on, and there is a market for new and old parts if needed to get back up and running. The only drawback to the SA 200s is fuel consumption compared to the diesel.
